Blog non grata

I've heard nothing, in spite of my many provocations, from El Naschie or any lawyer or representative of his.

He has attacked this blog by name in an Egyptian media interview, so it's not that he doesn't know about us.

For a reader who was professionally uncomfortable in making inquiries, I sent the following emails on May 21:

Subject: Question regarding a claim of affiliation with Frankfurt University

Text:

Hello,

Can you kindly tell me, or direct me to the proper person to ask, the answer to this question about one M.S. El Naschie, whose CV is attached:

At the top of page 2 he makes several claims of affiliation including:

  • Institute of Advanced Studies, Frankfurt, Germany

  • Member of the Board of Trustees, Institute of Advanced Studies, Frankfurt University, Frankfurt, Germany

  • Distinguished Fellow, Institute of Physics, Frankfurt University, Germany

Is this currently correct? Was it ever correct?

I'd be very grateful for any information you can give me about that. Thanks!

Best regards,

Jason

Subject: Question regarding a claim of affiliation with Solvay

Text:

Hello,

I hope you can answer this question about one M.S. El Naschie, or forward this email to the right person.

Does he now or did he ever have a right to claim Solvay Institute as his academic affiliation on research papers?

An example of this claim is attached.

Thanks very much!

Jason

  1. Why you didn't send Cambridge people asking about El naschie's affiliation there.

He had tens of papers in CSF where his affiliation was Cambridge. I think El naschie paid some people in Cambridge to get affiliation there or at least people there kept silent when he used the Cambridge affiliation for almost ten years. I think he paid a lot of money for that. It was a shame on Cambridge.

  2. Hi Anonymous,

I'm sure writing to Cambridge is an exercise in futility. No one EVER writes back to me. It's amazing, really.
