Spelling question: النشائى vs. النشائي

Two different versions of Dr. El Naschie's name occur frequently, and Google results for them differ slightly.

At, as in the El Naschie Watch masthead, the two dots are used. But El Naschie's home page uses the version without dots.

Is this a matter of dialect or regional pronunciation? Is one of them more correct? Any explanation would be appreciated.

  1. It's actually just a matter of font. The last character of the name is sort of equivalent to the letter Y, and when written separately has the two dots below it.

  2. Thanks!

I have noticed that Google treats them differently. Therefore I have recently made a subtle change to the browser title bar text, so that both versions appear.
