RationalWiki gets a legal threat

Trent Toulouse, proprietor of RationalWiki; and RationalWiki user "MarkGall", who wrote the Mohamed El Naschie article, both emailed me.

One "Mimi Youssef" is threatening RationalWiki with a law suit if they don't take down their El Naschie article.

You are off to a bad start. All what you have written about Prof. El Naschie are false allegations. You are subjecting yourself and your University in Canada to a lawsuit which will be filed against you. Please verify your information before defaming a scientist. All the info you collect from blogs are defamatory and libelous.

M. Youssef

Fortunately this sort of thing happens fairly frequently and they are not easily intimidated. They just asked me some questions about the Great Man's sockpuppetry and claims of Nobel-worthiness so that they could more accurately source their article, and I was glad to help. The talk page is now longer than the article itself, and recounts much of what I told them.

RationalWiki user "human" has a backbone:

...if someone we write about threatens to sue us, our article should end up even more critical of them, but also even better sourced.
