An embarrassing and unseemly column

El Naschie's Tuesday, May 4 Egypt Tomorrow column is up in Rosa Al-Youssef. «Mubarak» you your president. English or Arabic.

These are the last two paragraphs:

شكرا سيادة الرئيس علي ما أنجزته لوطنك وشعبك..Thank you, Mr. President, the work undertaken by your country and your people .. Thank you for the Renaissance .. Thank you for the peace in which we live .. And to address Israel's rogue .. thanks for the security and safety and health .. Thank you for exit from socialism to capitalism inhalers.

Today, on the occasion of Eid birthday of President Hosni Mubarak, say to the people of Egypt «Mubarak to you your president».

  1. El Naschie's Rosa Al-Youssef column is up. Tuesday, May 4. Nuclear dream delayed. English or Arabic.

El Naschie wants Egypt to develop nuclear power and use it for water desalination.

  2. The Thursday, May 6 daily column in Rosa Al-Youssef is up. Nuclear revolution coming. English or Arabic.

Like yesterday's, this is another pro-nuclear column. He wants nuclear reactors so Egypt won't have to rely entirely on oil, and because experience with reactor technology could be applied to build nuclear weapons quickly if the situation with Israel or Iran warranted it.

  3. El Naschie can't stop writing about how much Egypt needs nukes.

«nuclear» also «a life or death». Friday, May 7, 2010. Arabic or English.

Amusingly, he concludes the column by saying "I'm a scientist and not a specialist in political affairs ."
