My email to the AJMMS

Zahy reminded me of the editorial board of the Arab Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, which I had seen before but forgot about. Just now I sent them this email:

To: Arab Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences

Editor-in-chief: Prof. Shaher Momani
Department of Mathematics,
Mutah University, P.O. Box 7, Al-Karak, Jordan

Managing Editor: Prof. Zaid Odibat
Prince Abdullah Bin Ghazi Faculty of Science & IT,
Al-Balqa Applied University, Salt, Jordan

Dear Prof. Momani and Prof. Odibat,

I am reading right now the list of Editorial Board Members of AJMMS.

I notice that Mohamed El Naschie is an Honorary Editor and Ji-Huan He is an Editor. These two have been thoroughly disgraced and discredited as pseudoscience crackpots and impact-factor frauds. Using Photoshop, El Naschie creates fake intimate scenes of himself with Nobel Laureates and passes them off as real on the front page of his Web site. Surely an Editor or Honorary Editor title should be given to someone who helps, rather than hurts, the reputation of your journal. Please read these three posts carefully:

Were you aware of the scandals surrounding these men? Do you plan to keep M.S. El Naschie and J.H. He on the editorial board? Frankly, they are toxic. Proper mathematicians who notice their names will avoid submitting papers to AJMMS for that reason alone.

I have CCd several members of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Mutah University in the hope that someone will speak up and dissuade you from needlessly sullying the good name of AJMMS.

Best regards,

Jason of the El Naschie Watch blog

UPDATE: I have been told by a math professor from Mutah University that Prof. Momani resigned from Mutah University and is now at the University of Jordan, so I have sent it again to him this time with the new email address, and also to the members of the math department there. This helpful professor was interested to hear about the impact factor shenanigans.

El Naschie likens the Shura Council to the English House of Lords. Later he says that Mubarak's ruling party has the confidence of the vast majority of Egyptian citizens. That's because they don't meet behind closed doors in five-star hotels. Instead they approach citizens in the street to learn about their concerns.
