A May 31 article by Mamoun Fandy

Here is an article in the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that I found at Mohamed Mustafa's M.S. El Naschie Scientific Homepage.

«I do not Hatsour» with Nadia soldier! Arabic or English. I don't understand most of the article, not even the title. But it does say El Naschie is a "leading physicist" and "a professor at the University of Cambridge" so clearly Mr. Fandy has not gotten the memo.

There are fifteen reader comments.

El Naschie's Rosa Al-Youssef daily column for Sunday, June 6, 2010 is up. Need «emergency». Arabic or English.

El Naschie says the Cold War of the fifties was a safer time than now because of the Soviet vs. American balance of power that existed. Today it's too one-sided with America and nuclear-armed Zionists dominating. He thinks a state of emergency should be declared.

  2. The Monday, June 7, 2010 Rosa Al-Youssef column is up. Bad faith LODGING. Arabic or English.

Martin, you will be interested to know that today El Naschie continues to bang the drum for a state of emergency. El Naschie says that laws against armed terrorism and drug trafficking should apply to "intellectual terrorism" as well. He says certain groups should be made illegal in Egypt and gives as precedents the outlawing of the Baader Meinhof gang in Germany and the Red Brigades in Italy.

  3. Today I read in the news, in Egypt they want to expatriate citizens married to an Israeli! I didn't want to bring Godwin into this, but the developments El Naschie is encouraging are rather alarming. Of course, Israel puts similar interregligious blocks, but expatriation is a rather disgusting escalation in this spiral of reactionism. Mohamed El Naschie doesn't seem to care, in fact, I guess he would have had no second thoughts to set a blaze 75 years ago just to get to power. A professor could give a better example, have a moderating influence. But after all, who said he ever was a professor?

  4. You know, "the Egypts are like a computer, the best computer in the world, they just need software". He should stop telling people he searches the "education"-installation package and instead admit that he already hypocritically flipped the third "hate"-disc. Not a good software to connect to the global community, since there is no browser included and strong blocking mechanisms preventing the user from getting any such program to run.
