My email to World Applied Sciences Journal

I just sent this.

To the Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Executive Managing Editor of World Applied Sciences Journal (WASJ) and to International Digital Organization for Scientific Information (IDOSI), the publisher:

Dear colleagues at WASJ:

It has come to our attention that the Dr. Ji-Huan He is among the Editors-in-Chief of WASJ.

Allow me to advise you that listing Prof. Ji-Huan He as an Editor-in-Chief makes WASJ and IDOSI a tempting object of ridicule and butt of jokes.

Ji-Huan He is notorious for gaming the impact factor of the International Journal of Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation (IJNSNS) of which he is Editor-in-Chief.

He is at the center of a scandal for appropriating without attribution the work of Dr. Shijun Liao (homotopy analysis method or HAM), renaming it (homotopy perturbation method or HPM), and calling it his own. His work is not only unoriginal, it is of poor quality. Besides the previous link, see Francisco M. Fernández on Ji-Huan He in this regard. Also see Three cheers for Francisco M. Fernández! and Another Fernández review of Ji-Huan He's papers.

Most shocking is J-H He's close association with the infamous and belligerently litigious crackpot Mohamed El Naschie. J-H He calls El Naschie "one of this century's greatest scientists since Newton and Einstein" and says "El Naschie's theory will certainly lead to a Nobel Prize". But El Naschie is widely known to be a huckster.

Appropriately, J-H He has been fired from editorial positions at Chaos, Solitons and Fractals (CSF), the Arab Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences (AJMMS), Computers and Mathematics with Applications (CMA), Mathematical Problems in Engineering (MPE), and the International Journal of Information Sciences and Computer Engineering (IJISCE). He is a crackpot with a penchant for inserting himself onto editorial boards and similar prestigious-sounding groups to pad his CV.

For the reputations of WASJ, IDOSI, and particularly the Editors-in-Chief, it would be prudent to remove Ji-Huan He from his position.

Don't take my word for all this. Conduct your own investigation.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Best regards,

Jason of El Naschie Watch

The Master list of Ji-Huan He's editorial positions has been updated.

By the way, IJNSNS has been down for six whole days now.

UPDATE June 20: The Middle East Journal of Scientific Research (MEJSR) is another IDOSI publication. There is much overlap in the Editorial Boards. I added a few email addresses and re-sent the above with the observation that MEJSR was in the same pickle as WASJ.
