El Naschie Nobel? "I do not consider it outlandish"

A sockpuppet named G. Mahdi has some interesting things to say on Erdferkel, and again at Mathlog, concerning the El Naschie vs. Nature case.

#24 - G. Mahdi 2010-11-07 00:51

Quite honestly I trust Prof. Mohamed El Naschie far more than I trust the judgement of Nature. I do not consider it outlandish to suggest a Nobel prize for El Naschie. Let me give you the rationale behind my conclusion. Surely you heard about the two genius Russian born scientists Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov. I was present at a talk involving the two lucky but deserving winners of the Nobel Prize of this year (2010). What they recounted speaks for the magazine Science and speaks against Nature. They said their paper was eventually published when they submitted it to Science. They added it was rejected twice by Nature. Something very unnatural is happening to Nature. Instead of publishing defamatory tabloid articles against El Naschie they should have at least published the paper of the two ingenious Nobel winners of this year. Nature also refused to publish the paper reporting the experimental discovery of the golden mean in quantum mechanics by the Helmholtz Center and Oxford University. It was again Science which published the article. A year or so later after the publication in Science, Nature overcame themselves to publish a short article about the article published in Science. When one of my colleagues who is aware of El Naschie’s papers and findings on the golden mean in quantum mechanics wrote a comment about El Naschie’s achievement and sent it to Nature, they refused even to acknowledge the bare facts. It is really becoming a personal war declared by Nature against El Naschie. The looser [sic] is the scientific community and science. In fact Nature is losing in a big way by publishing doubtful papers on climatology and ignoring fundamental and path breaking work because they will otherwise be forced to mention the name of El Naschie. It is unreal. Who thought Nature would behave in such a fashion? There seems to be something fundamentally wrong with the way Nature is being run at present. Of course Nature is the world’s most famous science magazine for everyone. The sooner they undertake self correction, the better it will be for everybody.

Yes. Nature refused to publish Coldea et al. because it might somehow have redounded to El Naschie's benefit. Even though he had nothing to do with it. And wasn't cited in it.

In fact it is unlikely any of the authors had ever heard of El Naschie at the time it was published, although they have by now.

  1. Okay, let us assume for the sake of the argument that Nature is evil. Why didn't he publish in Science, or physical review(s) or any IOP journal or even any respected journal if his work was that much of "path breaking"?

I know that he's a sockpuppet and there is no place for logic, but sometimes you just can't help it.

  2. Or even in a poor journal. He has published no papers at all since CSF was taken away from him.

  3. Right. Unless of course he considers Rosa Al yousef as a journal. Perhaps if Ji-Huan He started to cite it, ISI would consider giving it an impact factor.

  4. El Naschie's Rosa Al-Youssef column is up for Monday, November 8. «Fiesta» The Lost Generation. Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

El Naschie talks about the Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) book The Sun Also Rises also published under the title Fiesta. He also name-drops Konrad Adenauer, Charles de Gaulle, Ezra Pound and Gertrude Stein. It's not clear where he's going with this. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

  6. The shape-shifting lizard men of the zionist new world order have taken over the Nature management and editorial office, and they're out to get El Naschie am i rite?

I'm waiting for the day El Naschie patents the golden ration and sues every publisher that's ever printed "(1+sqrt(5))/2."

  7. Hossam,
I think the great man will bundle Rosa Al-Youssef with Elsevier journals and after then it will included into ISI. After one year of self citation (due to El naschie) and J. Huan He's citation, Rosa Al-Youssef organization for sure will be ranked in THE (http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/2010-2011/top-200.html)
and it would be ahead of Harvard like AlAlexandria University in research impact.

Please remember that the great man is publishing every day.

  8. El Naschie's Rosa Al-Youssef column is up for Tuesday, November 9. Crush Nazi. Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

El Naschie talks about the defeat of the Nazis setting the stage for capitalism, socialism, and flourishing democracy in Europe. He wishes that could happen in the Middle East but says it can't because of Israel, which he calls a racist state. Quotes from some Marlene Dietrich song. Talks about Gone with the Wind. Bemoans the Tripartite Aggression. Continued tomorrow.

  9. Jason,
In his column you missed translating this passage

There must be a fair honest press based on honest pen which can't be bought nor sold even by talk-show programs whatever the price. I remember how I was dragged into one of such talk-show program which claimed to honor me
but in fact it was a paid miserable trap to discredit me. This trap program is still existent for all people to watch it.

Here the great man meant the program
Elbeet Beetak ( البيت بيتك ) or "make yourself at home". The interviewer is Khairy Ramadan ( خيري رمضان ).
    http://elnaschiewatch.blogspot.com/2010/04/full-english-and-german-subtitles-are.html

It seems that the great is not happy with that program at all.
