Douglas N. Arnold at WCRI 2010, Singapore

A slideshow-style presentation in PDF form by Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) president Douglas N. Arnold. He goes into detail on a plagiarism case, naming names and journals. Then he moves on to impact factor manipulation, taking on Ji-Huan He and his execrable International Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Numerical Simulation. Readers will recall that El Naschie Watch had great success in getting Ji-Huan He kicked off many of his editorial boards.

My only complaint is that he neglects to attack El Naschie and his ex-journal Chaos, Solitons and Fractals. Arnold is very thorough, so he probably limited the scope of his presentation to make it unassailable within the constraints of time and space; he has attacked El Naschie before.

Here's the website for the conference.

Thanks to the reader who pointed this out!

By the way, check out page 16 - Final report of the plagiarism case. You'll see this:

Dear Dr. David K. Marshall,

We have removed that article from our website and inform authors.

With regards,
Viveka Nand, Publication department.

Readers with superhuman memories may recall that in connection with the Arab Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, El Naschie Watch tried repeatedly to elicit a response from Viveka Nand, without success.
