My email to Rosa Al-Youssef's new editor

I just sent this to Wael Elebrashy, who has a website, a blog, and a Twitter account. And he's on Facebook. Wow, this guy is serious about social media.

Dear Mr. Wael Elebrashy,

Congratulations on assuming the editorship of Rosa Al-Youssef.

This email concerns Mohamed El Naschie, who writes the daily column Egypt Tomorrow.

  • El Naschie's support for Hosni Mubarak

If you are going to retain him as a columnist, please be aware of his history as a shill or toady for Hosni Mubarak and the NDP. In this regard see El Naschie's call for Mubarak Nobel applauded.

  • El Naschie's two faces

Please read El Naschie suddenly a fan of Egyptian revolution. After the revolution, El Naschie decided that the Nobel Peace Prize should instead be awarded to the Egyptian people, for their revolution against Mubarak. He made no reference to his previous endorsement of Mubarak for that honor.

  • El Naschie's crackpottery and fraudulence

El Naschie claims to be a physicist, but he isn't one, not in any real sense. He has no degree in math or physics, not even an undergraduate one. He is famous for citation scamming, and for establishing a journal, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, to publish his own nonsense papers without peer review. The publisher eventually fired him as an embarrassment.

El Naschie photoshops intimate scenes of himself with famous scientists and posts them on his website. See El Naschie and his three Nobel Laureate friends.

El Naschie tells Egyptian audiences that his father was a Free Officer. It's a lie.

He also claims to have been the recipient of the Egypt State Appreciation Award. That also is a lie.

El Naschie claims to have been nominated for the Nobel Prize, and that Nobel Laureate physicists have said El Naschie deserved it more than they. These claims are outrageously, hilariously absurd. See Why Mohamed El Naschie invites ridicule.

I have mixed feelings in telling you about El Naschie. My readers and I derive much merriment from his column in Rosa Al-Youssef, and we will be sad to see it go. But as Editor-in-Chief you should be aware, if you continue to publish Egypt Tomorrow, that it is not a serious column about science or politics. It is a joke, and it belongs in the humor section.

Please let me know if I can answer any questions you may have. There is more to tell about this dishonest and mercurial con-man. Much more. But I must resist the temptation to put it all in one email. A good place to start is Introduction to Mohamed El Naschie.

Best regards,

Jason of El Naschie Watch

  6. Wonderful! That time it didn't bounce. I took the opportunity to change the spelling of his name to Elebrashy, which is how he spells it on Twitter.
