Said Elnashaie receives Kefaya position

This is exactly the sort of thing that makes Mohamed El Naschie furious. In the comments on A cryptic column from the great man, it became apparent that Mohamed El Naschie was enraged at the public attention being received by his brother Said Elnashaie.

Kefaya, or كفاية meaning "enough", is the unofficial name of the Egyptian Movement for Change.

The Nasserite Arab nationalist website الوعي العربي or Arab Consciousness reports that Said Elnashaie has been made Kefaya's Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator for Intellectual Dialog. Original Arabic or Google's English translation. The same story is reported on Kefaya's official website: Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

In post-Mubarak Egypt, Said's star is rising while the great man's star falls.

  1. Hello ENW folks,
on THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2009 you posted a funny
article with a funny picture. This is very old now and not funny anymore - if I type my name in Google.. I don't have and never had any deals with Mr. ElNaschie (can't help he wrote me such a friendly letter 2 years ago) neither with Dan Winter. Sooo... please be nice and REMOVE MY NAME thanks!

  2. Hi Frank, thanks for commenting. El Naschie said this in the post you mentioned:

    "Dear Frank:

Thank you very much for your kind letter. I find all good questions as well as the answers apart of the questions thrown by your work and the work of Dan Winter extremely stimulating. You are both more than scientists. You are artists. In other words you are a source of inspiration. Inspiration is nothing but dust coming from the well of creation. So without you and people like you, we cannot make advances in uncharted seas. This is your strength.

    Now you say

"can't help he wrote me such a friendly letter 2 years ago"

but really it looks like he was just answering yours. So I am a bit confused. Did you not write him?
