El Naschie still pestering Zewail with lawsuit

It's easy to see why he'd rather not talk about the Nature case.

There's a new article by Mohamed Atef on masrawyea.com. Original Arabic or Google's English translation. It's very brief, so here's the thing in it's entirety:

Egyptian scientist Mohamed El Naschie accuses Zewail of quoting the text of his lecture
Tuesday, June 14, 2011 06:51 Mohammed Atef

The scientist, Egypt's Mohamed El Naschie, professor of modern physics, decided to file a lawsuit against scientist Ahmed Zewail, acccusing him of quoting from a lecture he had delivered years ago at the Opera House, titled "Time".

El Naschie has been nominated before for the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006, and is nicknamed "the Newton of the modern era".

The Newton of the modern era? Personally, I always call him "the Einstein of Egypt".

Of course the crackpot and charlatan El Naschie never got nominated for a Nobel Prize, that's absurd. Strangely, there is no mention of the fact that Ahmed Zewail actually, you know, won one.

  1. More details about the lawsuit against Zewail and the publisher of his book about time can be found on

  2. Zahy, I wrote about that in this post: Remember Ayman Amer?. I will add it to Related Posts.

I wonder if El Naschie is handling it himself, or if he suddenly found some money he didn't tell Mr. Justice Eady about. The article refers to Tamer Mohamed Habib. Is that El Naschie's lawyer? Is that this person?

  3. Jason, you are right that you have written about this before.
