Google promotes Rössler as "Science News"

Otto's latest post is bizarre even for him. The sudden surge in hits is due to Google's unaccountable decision to feature him, as you will infer from the comments.

Here's a screen shot. Sure enough, second from the bottom.

  3. I see from Otto's March 2, 2012 2:52am comment that he is interested in giving a talk at CERN. Wouldn't this be a good idea? It would be an amusing diversion for the real scientists there, and might convince Otto he's wrong. Luboš Motl reported on a cold fusion colloquium at CERN, so there is a precedent for crackpot lectures.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Otto already gave a talk before the MPI for gravitational physics in Golm. He also has spoken to cern scientist Landua, I think that is enough...

Otto, in his stage, can not see why or even that he is wrong, simply because he lacks the necessary mathematical education. Otto would have to go to at least three lectures on differential geometry and special and general relativity before he could be able to understand the various negative reports from the other physicists. Unfortunately, he won't go to such lectures, as it was recommended long ago to him on his former blog achtphasen. So, there is really no point in talking to him.

Otto just wants to have an audience to promote his crackpot science and that is something real scientists should have time for.

  5. Well, that's discouraging. It seemed like a good idea because he's always pleading for just one person to show him where he is wrong. There'd be a whole roomful.

  6. and otto has a new entry by the time:

  7. Thanks! I have added it. He's sounding like a broken record, except for the novelty of addressing his tics to Benjamin Netanyahu.

  8. and a new entry of otto: http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/dear-mr-putin-russia-once-had-great-scientists-like-zeldovich
I believe he will do this until he is banned or dies

  10. he has now two more comments, one of them is this:

"9. No big bang, cosmic background, inflation, cold dark matter, cosmological constant"

Maybe Rössler turned already into a MBH?

  13. Hehe. Netanyahu's secretary politely acknowledged Otto's communication.

  14. Rossler said that orangutans are the most intelligent Primates on earth. This is true, since Dr Zaius was so smart in his biography, the award winning Planet of the Apes.

Really, CERN is an accessory in the coverup of that Ansa space capsule that landed in San Francisco bay in 1973...this was falsely called fiction to cover up the intelligent apes aboard.

Otto Hasslein is a CERN employee today.

Amazing post and very interesting stuff you got here! I definitely learned a lot from reading through some of your earlier posts as well and decided to drop a comment on this one!

He didn't realize that was a junk mail, and responded to it gratefully.

  16. Amazing.

If the experimental facts and the current knowledge stands against Otto, than science must be simply wrong. The genius can not be wrong. Impossible :D

  17. new post by Otto:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/a-friend-tells-me-to-specify-my-scientific-credentials

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/dear-world-public-black-holes-are-different

He really should not be allowed to teach at Tübingen anymore...

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thank you, I have added it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Interesting. Otto was asked about some of the fancy words he was throwing around with and has become completely silent now.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Now he answered - with links to his crackpottery. Aof course he was not able even to define topology.

    ReplyDelete
  21. he has a new post out there,
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/dear-children-sweet-barrage

    and in this old post:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/a-friend-tells-me-to-specify-my-scientific-credentials

in this post a discussion took place:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/telemach-implies

    the user eq wrote:

BTW, rössler is correct, I AM Nicolai

    ReplyDelete
  22. Wow! Discussion is really picking up. (Re your comment above regarding the Telemach Implies thread, I note eq on March 10, 2012 3:18 pm said "No, I am of course not Nicolai.")

    ReplyDelete
  23. That was a joke. Rössler claims always to be in a discussion with high rank scientists in front of the world audience. Despite the fact that there are scientists in the comments I doubt that someone like Hermann Nicolai would waste his time in comment battles with Otto Rössler - especially as these scientist have already made their personal experience with Rössler.

    ReplyDelete
  24. apparently, I am now banned, especially my comment:

otto, according to gr, at each point one locally has the minkowski metric.

Which means, locally, clocks do not! go slower but thick by the same rate as everywhere.

The rate of the clocks ticking with different speeds in gravitational fields comes only apparent after an integration of the worldline, which means oe has a macroscopic time interval and not an infinitesimal small one.

And it is then, when you do that integration in the presence of a gravitational potential, when the curvature of space becomes important and SRT immediately looses all its results.

So, if you use your T in gravitational fields you can not use the SRT anymore.´

    was not published by otto.

The only reason to not allowing that comment could be that otto does not want to be shown his errors. It seems that he found it better to delete the comment as he could not answer it.

This behavior also shows that Otto apparently knows that he is in error and just continues to play the game since he is not willing to admit failure.

    ReplyDelete
  25. He is deleting comments again. Or the blog software. Probably invalid mail adresses?

However, his last entry in the ten point comment section is embarrassing. He did not dispute hawkings quantum argument? Then his argumentation is invalid. And Reissner Nordström and Kerr are of course wrong because Telemach or, better, Rösslers intentions are colliding with them. So they are wrong despite being proven theorems. To use them as counterarguments against Telemach is not possible - marvelous construction :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Its published. Your comment about the grav time dilation.

Now he does not understand, as usual. He accuses you of denying the time dilation.

He really thinks that clocks tick really slower down with a longer second. So less ticks with longer seconds - ontological in a Otto-Rössler absolute time frame. :D

  27. You know, the saddest thing about that Telemach paper isn't that it's wrong, or that it was published in a bogus journal...it's that the bogus journal has such piss-poor production values that it couldn't even be bothered to format mathematical equations properly. Underscores instead of subscripts, etc. Man, considering how much the poor bastards have to pay for "open access," you'd think the scamsters would at least put a minimum of effort into looking professional.

    ReplyDelete
  28. sorry, i meant, I used the hide my ass plugin for googles chrome....

    ReplyDelete
  29. My comment on grav time dilation was published, but only since I used the "hide-my-ass" plugin of firefox which connects through a proxy. With my ordinary IP adress, i get a message that I'm banned.

If someone is banned at lifeboat and wants to comment: I only can say that there are plenty anon proxy services around, and fortunatly more that any admin at lifeboard could ban...

I do not think that one can blame the nigerians for poor publishing standards. Perhaps rössler has submitted it in form of a word document. Furthermore, a journals production values may well mirror the value of what its authors have to say. Perhaps the nigerians know that rössler is a crank. Why should they want to publish the trash of a crank with a professionally looking format? The nigerians probably know that they fool a conman. This may also apply for the other articles in this journal. So at least someone donates to poor african people. I think, paying 500 bucks to poor nigerian scammers is the best that scientific cranks like rössler can ever achive.

  30. Hi, jason, your spamfilter seems to have eaten posts of me on rössler again...

  32. and at this time, mad otto has two new postings:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/telemach-shilnikov-superfluidity-three-undismantled-findings-render-cern-a-planet-eating-time-bomb

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/bend-over-backwards-i-showed-how-easy-it-is-to-disprove-the-danger

However, i don't want to comment anymore.
The reason is that otto writes in the last comment of:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/telemach-implies#comments

"A beautiful “counterargument” that applies as well to the equivalence principle…"

With that otto implies that he does not accept the building block of general relativity, namely that the equivalence principle of special relativity does hold in general relativity only for points as there are no larger regions of spacetime in which an innertial system could be defined in a curved spacetime.

Well, there may be many people who do not accept that spacetime is curved but their opinions however, stand against experimental tests, so there is nothing to discuss about anymore.

I also found mad ottos last entry of this posting here very funny:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/a-friend-tells-me-to-specify-my-scientific-credentials#comments

of course showing that even rösslers papers on the rössler attractor contained parts of scientific misconduct is pure defamation....

  33. TWO new postings! Good lord.

  34. Now he is discussing the neutron stars with Kerwick. He does not get a single point.

In principle he relies again totally on his infinite time to reach the horizont known from his rejected R-theorem "paper". He also throws some fancy words in the discussion - but I think, every person with at least a little bit of knowledge wwould see that there is nothing behind it. unfortunately I am not qualified enough in physics.

  35. new posting of otto:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/03/cern-has-lost-its-gamble

    ReplyDelete
  36. Now again the R-theorem.

he did a wrong reformulation of some metric. of course this can change the physcis - and all the old knowledge muste be wrong. Otto is a genius.
