Rössler loses his audience

At Lifeboat Foundation, El Naschie's friend Otto Rössler has written eight new LHC-phobic posts since we last checked in. But compared to last time, his blather is attracting few comments; and what few there are are often Otto's own. Even the antagonistic fellow Lifeboat blogger Gary Michael Church is hardly bothering to insult Otto anymore.

UPDATE. A commenter points to a new post on RelativKritisch by Redaktion about Otto's father, a Nazi Party member and SS lieutenant. Original German or Google's English translation. There's a remarkable photo I've never seen before showing Otto Rössler the elder (1907-1991) dandling little Otto E. and his baby sister Ingrid on his knees. Where did Redaktion find it? I'm impressed with his detective skills.

Strangely, in his anti-LCH rants, Otto often pretends to be Jewish.

I hope that no one will give him any attention...

  2. You don't know rössler. He has written letters to the editor in the local newspaper "Schwaebisches Tagblatt" for years. Those letters were in exactly the style of what he is writing now. Rössler does not rely on somebody answering him, although he likes it. If nobody answers his nonsense, he will continue his nonsensical writings nevertheless (as he has done so in the past). The only way to stop him would be that the webmaster deletes Rössler's account on lifeboat and then blocks his IP.

  3. Have you some examples for these letters somewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Around the time where Rössler was spraying grafitti on the university buildings at Tübingen, he wrote every week in the section "letters to the editor" of the print version of this newspaper:

    http://www.tagblatt.de/Home/nachrichten.html

Unfortunately, I did not copy those letters (since they were similar trash as his lifeboat ramblings) and they are not electronically available.

To get them, it seems one must look at old prints of Schwaebisches Tagblatt.

  5. Here is the archive, where old articles of that newspaper are stored:

There, one should be able to get dozens of Rössler rantings for free in the "Letters to the Editor" section

  7. Rossler appears to have jumped the shark at Lifeboat. In fact, he's beginning to wither in the searing light of neglect...and neglect is to a vocal crank like Rossler like garlic is to a vampire.

I also noticed that other posters are putting up more stuff (actually kind of interesting stuff, about manned space flight, nuclear propulsion and space colonization) and it's starting to collect more comments.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ooohh, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is taunting Otto with a link to this post.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Rössler has a new post where he literally begs for comments:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/the-fairy-tale-of-the-sky-blue-planet-and-the-little-kid-that-could-rescue-all

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thank you -- I have added that one.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Rössler has another new posting:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/dear-judge-baltasar-garcon-please-engage-international-courts-against-cerns-crime-against-humanity

(As I said, Rössler can go entirely without comments. The only thing to stop him is to ban him, like he does it with critical commenters)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I am afraid you're right. :( Anyway I've added the new posting.

    ReplyDelete
  13. In his Feb 10 post Otto is saying his father was Jewish.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Rössler now says that he even got a response from Stephen Hawking himself:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/the-new-black-hole-theory-and-the-lhc

    ReplyDelete
  15. Rösslers speaks a lot of bullshit...I bet there was a short answer like "do not bother me, I have more important stuff to do than to read your crackpottery"

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Jason: Rösslers needs this "jewishness" in order to compare the CERN scientists as a modern kind of Nazi-group.

He has done the same already in the 90s when he called the actions of the university Tübingen against him and his wife as antisemitic. Furthermore he sprayed "Pogrom university Tübingen" at the walls of the main lecture hall and pinned a yellow "jew-star" on his breast.

    ReplyDelete
  17. "Stephen Hawking and I both call on you to step forward and re-activate his result. He himself does not have the time to engage in this discussion he let me know several times. No one will be happier than he and I if a reader succeeds in restoring Hawking radiation – humankind’s safety insurance." Haha! That's a riot. Stephen told a secretary to tell Otto to kiss off, and Otto is acting like Stephen is on his side.

I'd ask him what exactly Stephen said but he blocks me from posting there.

    ReplyDelete
  18. perhaps someone should ask Stephen Hawking directly. Would be interesting to have a short comment on the telemach crap from him :D

    ReplyDelete
  19. on the other hand this would give Rössler too much attention.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rössler has a new post out there on lifeboat:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/either-ten-thousand-physicists-err-or-one-a-last-minute-pledge-to-the-media

    He compares himself with Dirac...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks, I have added that one. The last two paragraphs make him look insane. Not just trolling, but actually insane. I would not be surprised if Lifeboat decided he was a net liability.

    ReplyDelete
  22. new otto post:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/two-german-heads-of-state-stepped-down-within-days-of-having-declined-to-save-the-planet

    ReplyDelete
  23. another new post of Otto:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/short-version

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow. OK, thank you. I have added them.

    ReplyDelete
  25. omg, he really thinks he is responsible for the resignation of the german presidents Christian Wulff and Horst Köhler...thats insane!

    ReplyDelete
  26. He already has a new post out there:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/i-proved-that-cern-is-committing-a-mega-crime-and-everybody-says-so-what

As I said, he still continues to write even if there are no or very few comments. He did this in the good old times for years where he wrote letters to the editor in the local newspaper "Schwäbisches Tagblatt". If he is not banned or the site is shut down, Rössler will certainly stay on lifeboard until his death...

    ReplyDelete
  27. He's lost his mind. OK, I have added the latest post.

    ReplyDelete
  28. new posting:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/the-most-successful-species-of-the-universe-is-being-invited-to-our-planet

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wait, what? "Species"? Is he just metaphorically comparing a black hole to a predator, or is he seriously saying that aliens are going to pour through it, much as in the popular PC game Doom?

    ReplyDelete
  30. His recent posts increasingly indicate mental disorder. Otto is unwell.

    ReplyDelete
  31. He really thinks that the german heads of state Köhler and Wulff resigned because of the letters he sent to them.

That must be the truth, especially in the case of Wulff because no head of state would resign because of actions of some prosecutor office against him. It is much more reasonable that the silly letter of mad otto about CERN was the reason for the resignation.

    ReplyDelete
  32. and a new posting has been fabricated by Otto:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/has-anyone-an-idea-how-to-kiss-awake-the-media-to-the-fact

    ReplyDelete
  33. Otto is mentally ill. This is dispassionate judgment, not ridicule. Will Lifeboat Foundation realize this, and jettison him? Maybe they don't care.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Indeed he reminds me of someone with paranoic schizophrenia.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's really hard NOT to comment on Rösslers crap.

Otto oracle says: "The fact that the matter is before the SCUN for a year is top secret, for example." Hilarious!

Maybe his head will shrink to 1.8 cm diameter soon?

    ReplyDelete
  36. what is more: The University of Tübingen still gives him lecture halls where he can "teach" his dellusional crap to students. Furthermore, they let Otto have phd students that do "research" about his crackpottery...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Pinky, mouse of LampukistanFebruary 23, 2012 at 11:36 PM

Anyone living in or close to Tübingen to print some leaflets with quotations of Rösslers lifeboat-career (including praising fascist Konrad Lorenz) to hand out to those students? Maybe his own "masters voice" will have an effect on all people not living in this conspiracy theory.

    ReplyDelete
  38. There is perhaps no need for that Pinky. I believe most Tübingen inhabitants know Rössler for his famous letters to the Editor in the local news paper. They are quite similar to his recent lifeboat ramblings. Rössler is kind of celebrity in Tübingen because of them. And sometimes he wrote one letter almost each day....

After all, it was the University of Tübingen where Rössler sprayed his graffiti on the main lecture hall that is several hundred years old...

I believe most people, even his students, know that Rössler is insane. However, they also do not know his publictions, and think that Rössler would be a genious because the Rössler attractor is named after him. So they may well go into his lectures, beliving to be thought by a genius or something...

The only way to stop this would be a torough investigation of all his nonsensical articles...

By the time, Otto has two new postings at Lifeboat:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/solidarity-after-europe-risked-planting-a-time-bomb-into-earth-america-stops-colonizing-mars

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/hazardeering-cern

    ReplyDelete
  39. and a new comment from Otto arrived:

    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/am-i-hazardeering-too

    ReplyDelete
  40. Three junk posts in one day, unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Rössler proudly presented his "paper":

    http://www.academicjournals.org/AJMCSR/PDF/pdf2012/Feb/9%20Feb/Rossler.pdf

What a crap. What a journal...

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think this journal where Rössler has published his trash is very important. Someone from Nigeria who really wants to publish something can, using the internet, easily do it in the major journals, so there is no problem if this nigerian journal accepts crap. However, at least someone donates money to poor african people, and moreover, the editors of the real journals can get rid of crackpots now. They just have to recommend the african journal of mathematics to the crackpots in their referee reports. There, the crackpots will find their place to publish and are happy, and the real scientists are also happy because they got rid of the crackpots, and the poor nigerians are happy too since they got the "publication fee" from the crackpot...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have embedded his paper above.

    ReplyDelete
  44. new posting from otto, seems to be a nasty one:
    http://lifeboat.com/blog/2012/02/i-have-enough-of-being-allowed-to-say-cern-is-worse-than-hitler

    ReplyDelete
  45. Rössler announced in the comment section of his last blog entry the publication of his R-Theorem paper in the new El-Naschie-Journal:

Rossler. O.E., Abraham-like return to constant c in general relativity: “R-theorem” demonstrated in Schwarzschild metric. Fractal Spacetime and Noncommutative Geometry in Quantum and High Energy Physics 2(1), 1 – 14 (2012).
    Preprint: http://www.wissensnavigator.com/documents/Chaos.pdf

this paper was reviewed in public a few years ago by Nicolai et al (and some more people). In fact he has changed nothing in this craps since then.

How do we call that? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  46. the comments in his last lifeboat entry become looking more and even more insane than before
