More things named after Ji-Huan He

He's Hilbert cube model, He's exp-function method, He's variational iteration method and He's homotopy perturbation method made him a rising scientific star...

...but He’s Frequency–Amplitude Formulation (HFAF) and He’s Energy Balance Method (HEBM) forever affix him to the firmament.

  1. What a god-awful paper in a god-awful journal. Things like THIS is the reason to boycott Elsevier...

  2. Haha yes i should have mentioned that it's in the Elsevier journal Computers and Mathematics with Applications (CMA) which in fact is number 23 on our master list.

That is a wonderful, thorough, and amusing article. Thank you for pointing it out.

We wrote about Telesio-Galilei in A lovely crackpot site and Raju attacks Western stereotypes of knowledge which includes a video of crackpot C.K. Raju accepting a Telesio-Galilei award and criticizing Einstein.

  5. Breaking news: Rodin's been "retired" http://www.journals.elsevier.com/computers-and-mathematics-with-applications/news/letter-from-the-new-editor-in-chief/

and the journal retracted an absurd paper that he refused to:

If anyone has institutional access to the original paper, M. Sivasubramanian and S. Kalimuthu, Computer application in mathematics, Comput. Math. Appl., Vol. 59 No.1 (2009), pp. 296–297 and the retraction which is also behind a paywall, I'll post them for our amusement.

One of the authors has an email address at budweiser.com. :)

  7. Yeah, Doug Arnold singled out that crazy paper in his latest, so it makes sense that it was attracting new attention...

  8. I wonder how J.-H. He's going to be able to organize special homotopy issues in C&MA now?
