El Naschie website makeover

The so-called M.S. El Naschie Scientific Homepage run by sockpuppet Mohamed Mustafa in Cairo has had a redesign. The old blogger template has been replaced with a more modern one. You can customize your experience there by choosing among Classic, Flipcard, Magazine, Mosaic, Sidebar, Snapshot, and Timeslide display options. Give it a try.

In other news, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsy has beaten the old-regime "feloul" Ahmed Shafik in the Egyptian presidential election runoff. It's not clear how much power he'll have anyway, because the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has given itself wide-ranging powers in what some are calling a military coup.

El Naschie had been cheerleading for Shafik, but we can expect the Great Man imminently to post on the redesigned blog some obsequious statement towards Morsy, because El Naschie wants a cabinet post, always sucks up to who's in charge, and will do anything to stay in the public eye.

UPDATE. The blog Dr. Mohamed El Naschie's views on Politics, Science and Culture run by a sockpuppet named Asad has had the exact same makeover. That blog had been dormant for a long time, but is now being actively updated, most recently just a few minutes ago. Asad is posting the same sorts of El Naschie political announcements that Mohamed Mustafa posts.

  1. El Naschie has a new post, almost the same on both the redesigned blogs, with today's date June 19th. The Google Translate output is terrible, but the main points are 1. El Naschie has returned to Cairo. 2. He's delighted at how SCAF seized power. 3. Certain outside forces are looking for an excuse to attack Egypt.
