El Naschie decries soccer hooliganism

Yesterday the Al-Masry Ultras, the Port Said home team, beat Al-Ahly, the visiting Cairo team, who were favored. The final score was 3-1. But after the game, Al-Masry supporters took to the pitch and attacked outnumbered Al-Ahly fans. There were at least 79 killed, and Egypt is stunned. A three day period of national mourning officially has been declared. The video above shows the scene in the Al-Ahly team dressing room.

In a brief article by Samar Fawaz in the Al Wafd newspaper, El Naschie condemns the violence. The piece is accompanied by a familiar stock photo of him. وأضاف أن التقصير الذى تمر به البلاد بلاء أمنى وانفلات لا حدود له فى بلد مهد الأديان وبلد الأمن والأمان.

He added that the failure of the country through which the scourge of a security breakdown and has no boundaries in a country that is the cradle of religions and the country of security and safety.

Spectacular success! ZNA dumps Ji-Huan He

We wrote to Zeitschrift für Naturforschung A (ZNA) on 9 June 2010 and again on 15 May 2011. Prying Ji-Huan He from the editorial board is a major accomplishment, and was never likely to succeed. Crackpot Otto E. Rössler and his student Hans H. Diebner published a lot there. Jürgen Parisi, another co-author of Rössler, was and still is on the editorial board. Managing Editor Karin Pfeffer is from Tübingen, which is Rössler's university. ZNA was a stronghold -- a festering hell-hole -- of crackpottery. Even the infamous Mohamed El Naschie published there.

It may be that my postscript to the second email worried them:

Please make sure you follow the comments in this post. It is apparent from the tables of contents of recent issues of ZNA that Ji-Huan He has been responsible for the increasingly bad quality of papers accepted into ZNA. He is destroying VZN as you sit idly by.

Maybe you don't care about journal quality. That's hard for me to understand, but perhaps you're just cynical. You should at least be concerned for your jobs. A journal this bad cannot exist indefinitely.

ZNA is number 18 on our Master list of Ji-Huan He's editorial positions. The entry has been made red to reflect the firing.

"Him" being Mohamed El Naschie, of course. Following up on the previous post, we note that The Register has an article by Iain Thomson about the Tim Gowers campaign against Elsevier. According to the article:

Questions have also been raised about the company’s journal “Chaos, Solitons & Fractals.” The publication carried over 300 articles written by the editor Mohamed El Naschie, and some have questioned if they went through a proper peer-review process. One academic, who declined to talk on the record, claimed that the journal was essentially a “vehicle for him and his chums,” and that Elsevier let the situation persist.

Perhaps the great man should sue The Register.

Slashdot reports on the infamous Chaos, Solitons and Fractals (CSF) publisher:

The academic publisher Elsevier has attracted controversy for its high prices, the practice of bundling journals for sale to libraries and its support for legislation such as SOPA and the Research Works Act. Fields medal-winning mathematician Tim Gowers decided to go public with a blog post describing how he'll no longer have anything to do with Elsevier journals, and suggesting that a public website where mathematicians and scientists could register their support for an Elsevier boycott would further the cause. Such a website now exists, with hundreds of academics signing-up so far. John Baez has a nice write-up of the problem and possible solutions.

CSF was founded by Mohamed El Naschie, and he was the Editor-in-Chief, until he became too much of an embarrassment for Elsevier. Baez, at the link above, alludes vaguely to "the Chaos, Solitons and Fractals fiasco" but omits any mention of his own cowardice in Mohamed El Naschie's successful legal intimidation of him.

Al Mashad has a January 25th story claiming that Ahmed Ezz's steel company illegally received and melted down hundreds of tons of dangerously radioactive equipment or waste from foreign nuclear reactors and buried it in Egypt, under people's houses. On the Egyptian Labor Party website, Said Elnashaie writes an open letter to Nobel laureate chemist Ahmed Zewail, criticizing him for association with Obama, the CIA, and Zionists. Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

El Naschie's brother Said is well-known for his outspoken anti-Western views. Mohamed and Said don't get along, but neither of them likes Zewail, whom Mohamed, comically, is sueing for stealing his ideas about time.

Several Jordanian newspapers report that Amr Elnashai gave a talk about the constuction of earthquake-resistant buildings at the 5th Jordanian International Civil Engineering Conference, 17-19 January 2012, at the five-star Landmark Hotel in Amman. Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

El Naschie's brother Amr defends Mohamed in online forums, writing under the pseudonym Scorpion300. When I tried to correct the nonsense about Mohamed in the Arabic Wikipedia, Amr undid my work. Here's his CV on Scribd.

This bogus, Nigeria-based publisher has been around for years, and continues to increase its journal fleet of over one hundred titles from all areas of study. Seeking legitimacy, it falsely associates itself with authentic organizations and conferences.

This rang a bell with me. The African Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science Research (AJMCSR) is in the Academic Journals stable. That's the journal Otto Rössler has chosen to publish his Telemach paper. Otto's critics in that long Lifeboat thread have been casting doubt on the journal's quality, and Otto, true to form, vaguely insinuates that the critics are racist.

The fear on the part of the German establishment of the truth is palpable in the above anonymous assaults on a whole journal and a whole continent.

According to their masthead they are an international relief force for humanitarian emergencies associated with the volunteer corps of the United Nations (United Nations Youth Organization). Concerning the NassBook interview

On or around the 19th of September last year, El Naschie was interviewed by Hala Sarhan on her NassBook program, which you can watch in Video! El Naschie interviewed about his candidacy. Mohammed Yahia wrote about it, and almost immediately Nature's lawyers demanded his post be deep-sixed.

El Naschie... Yet Another Kamouna!!

I just watched Hala Sarhan interview Mohamed El Naschie, a presidential candidate.

The guy was introduced as the leading physicist in the 21st century. For a second, I was embarrassed I did not recognize a fellow Egyptian who is such a leading figure.

A quick Google search showed that the guy is a fraud. He authors papers in a journal moderated by himself. His inflated impact factor is just a result of a standard trick employed by fraudulent scientists.

Anyways, that can just be the evil western Google manipulating public opinion to dismiss the existence of any Egyptian scientists. Listening to his interview sealed the deal. He dismissed relativity theory as theoretical luxury, theories which have no practical application yet, but might find some place in practice in the far future. He made some other comments that hardly depart from an educated brain.

For a second, I got some pleasant flashbacks of Kamouna, the Egyptian scientist who solved (or rather dissolved) P vs. NP, continuum hypothesis, …etc. by using.. <drums>.. Prolog.

I will not go further into any details regarding his real scientific status. Interested readers can google him.

The comparison is to Dr. Rafee Kamouna. The Saudi Gazette has a moderately credulous article about him.

By the way, if you Google El Naschie as Abdallah suggests, you know where you end up.

Abuzedgut on scale relativity, fractal spacetime, etc

On a forum for Arab engineers, someone called Abuzedgut has posted an incredibly long fringe-physics screed. El Naschie's name comes up only once, in a citation of a book he edited with Ilya Prigonine and Otto Rössler, but E-infinity group members Garnet Ord and especially Laurent Nottale are mentioned often. Original Arabic or Google's English translation.

Abuzedgut apparently is a fan of Nottale's theory of scale relativity. His profile says he's a physics researcher and a professor of mathematics, but no institutional affiliation is given. Original Arabic, Google's English.

The post, which appeared only yesterday, is remarkable for its sheer size. You have to hit the Translate button several times to read the entire thing.

That's the YouTube account of MEMRI - The Middle East Media Research Institute, which has been criticized for consistently seeking out clips that portray the Muslim world in the worst possible light. That's a valid criticism, but as far as I know their translations are correct, which is what we care about in the context of the present video. Readers should feel free to point out any inaccuracy.

Blogs and news outlets all over the world have reported on the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists recent adjustment of their Doomsday Clock from 11:54 to 11:55 PM. Here are the Washington Post, New York Times, Canada's National Post, The Guardian, Mysterium (Italian), and ΚΟΣΜΟΣ (Greek), to give just a small sampling. But keen El Naschie watchers will be most interested in what Egypt's Al Ahram Youth Portal has to say about it: Original Arabic or Google's English translation. The Great Man is asked about the Doomsday Clock, and says scientists who presume to play God with their Judgment Day proclamations are ignorant and liars.

Wikipedia describes the Islamic view of the Last Judgment thusly: In Islam, Yawm al-Qiyāmah (Arabic: يوم القيامة‎ "the Day of Resurrection") or Yawm ad-Din (Arabic: يوم الدين‎ "the Day of Judgment") is believed to be God's final assessment of humanity as it exists.

نشرت وكالة الأنباء الألمانية خبرا عن قيام مجموعة من العلماء بتحريك عقارب الساعة النووية الرمزية لتصبح مضبوطة على خمس دقائق قبل منتصف الليل أى تقديمها دقيقة واحدة فى اتجاه يوم القيامة، وذلك ردا على تزايد مخاطر حدوث كارثة نووية وبيئية.

وقالت إن آخر مرة جرى فيها تحريك عقارب الساعة كانت فى يناير 2010 عندما تم تخفيفها من خمس دقائق إلى ست دقائق قبل منتصف الليل، وأن الساعة أصبحت مضبوطة الآن على نفس التوقيت الذى كانت عليه فى 2007.

عالم الفيزياء المصري، الدكتور محمد النشائي، قال في تصريحات خاصة لبوابة الشباب: أولا أحب أن أشير أنه لا علاقة بين تحريك عقارب الساعة النووية، وبين اقتراب يوم القيامة، ووصف العلماء الذين يقولون ذلك بأنهم جهلاء وكذابون، مؤكدا أن العلم والعلماء لا يستطيعوا أن يفسروا الغيبيات، أو يتدخلوا في صنع الله، لأن الله رب العالمين أكبر من العلم والعلماء، واستدل النشائي بقول الله تعالى "وما أوتيتم من العلم إلا قليلا".

وفسر النشائي فكرة الساعة النووية قائلا: حتى نتمكن من معرفة الوقت الحقيقي، كان لابد من مقارنته بشيء ثابت أو حركة منتظمة، في البداية كان هناك تخيل أن الشمس تدور حول الأرض، ولكن هذه الحقيقة تم تكذيبها بعد ذلك، واكتشفنا أن الأرض هي التي تدور حول الشمس، في مسار بيضاوي وليس دائري، وإذا اقتربت من الشمس نكون في فصل الصيف، وعند ابتعادها نكون في فصل الشتاء، ولكن أيضا حركة ألأرض حول الشمس حركة غير منتظمة، بعدها بحث العلماء عن حركة منتظمة أخرى، فلجأوا للقمر، الذي ينتج عن دورانه الشهر الهجرية، فوجدنا ايضا أنها غير منتظمة وتتغير، كل الحركات السابقة لم نتمكن من اكتشاف الصورة التي كانت عليها سابقا، أو مدى تغيرها.

وأضاف، بالبحث عن مقياس دقيق، لم يكن أمام العلماء سوى الاعتماد على حركة الذرات، والحصول على الساعة الذرية أو النووية، لكن هذه أيضا، بها نسبة خطأ وغير منتظمة بنسبة 100%، ورغم أن نسبة الخطأ بها بسيطة إلا أنه بمرور الوقت تتراكم ليصبح خطأ كبيرا، وبالتالي لابد من ضبط العد من جديد، وهذا هو ما تحدثت عنه الأخبار بتحريك عقارب الساعة النووية.

But El Naschie is widely known to be a huckster. Our blog El Naschie Watch is devoted to him and his followers such as Prof. He. Note that He's promotion of El Naschie is not an anomaly or an isolated past mistake; it is current and ongoing. A new book by He published as recently as 25 December 2011 continues in this vein.

Ji-Huan He's "flying vehicle on a soft porous blanket"

A reader kindly draws our attention to Yang-Shuai Liu and Ji-Huan He, Soft compressible mat for "flying" vehicles, Mathematical and Computational Applications, Vol. 15, No. 5, pp. 967-969, 2010. Sometimes the jokes write themselves.

Magic Carpet
On the top of page 968 he says "The moving vehicle pushes the soft compressible porous mat, which is deformed with a slope of α" which is not correct according to Fig. 2. He means "a slope of minus tan α" surely. Still, this looks to me like one of his better papers, or least bad anyway.

His conclusion "We suggest a concept of the flying vehicles, which might be found applications in the near future" seems a bit far-fetched.

El Naschie's post-CSF publishing predicament

Before Elsevier was embarrassed into firing El Naschie as Editor-in-Chief of Chaos, Solitons and Fractals (CSF), the journal was a playground for the great man and his E-infinity group acolytes to publish whatever rubbish they wanted without peer review; and even better, they could fiddle CSF's Impact Factor by manic intra-group citation.

As if the loss of CSF were not bad enough, their sister publication International Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Numerical Simulation (IJNSNS) was sold by Freund to De Gruyter, and the new publisher fired El Naschie's friend Ji-Huan He from his position as Editor-in-Chief.

Disaster! How would the E-infinity group put their prattle into print?

The stopgap measure was to post a series of so-called E-infinity communications on a blog started for that very purpose.

A longer-term answer was to leverage Ji-Huan He's influence with Asian Academic Publisher. El Naschie and He tried starting a journal called Fractal Spacetime and Noncommutative Geometry in Quantum and High Energy Physics, but it never drew enough submissions to fill a single issue. (We doubt any submission would have been rejected.) There were to have been four issues in 2011. See FSNGQHEP is moribund, which includes several further links, for that sad story.

Ji-Huan He recruited an editorial board for the unlikely-sounding Egyptian-Chinese journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics (ECJCAM) as we noted in Egyptian-Chinese Journal of Crackpottery but no issues have appeared so far.

El Naschie also tried to start an online journal called Journal for E-infinity and Complexity Theory in High Energy Physics & Engineering (JECTHEPE) hosted on his El Naschie Watch copycat site, but that also seems be going nowhere fast.

In E-infinity communication number 85 a list of new Shadowy Brotherhood papers was announced, to appear in the Asian Academic Publisher journals Nonlinear Science Letters A (NLSA) and Nonlinear Science Letters B (NLSB). One of them, Quantum Golden Mean Entanglement Test as the Signature of the Fractality of Micro Spacetime, by Ji-Huan He, L. Marek-Crnjac, Mohamed Atef Helal, Shokry Ibrahim Nada and Otto E. Rössler, we laughed at in Crackpot collaboration par excellence.

We discussed the suspicious history of Quantum Entanglement as a Consequence of a Cantorian Micro Spacetime Geometry in El Naschie publishes a peer-reviewed paper. It eventually appeared in Journal of Quantum Information Science (JQIS), a journal said to publish anything.

Most of the Brotherhood papers mentioned in E-infinity communication number 85 have by now become available on El Naschie's homepage. We have rehosted them on Scribd and embedded them below.

Luboš Motl says Smolin, Woit abandon Lisi

El Naschie Watchers may remember that E8 theory-of-everything guy Garrett Lisi became so exasperated by El Naschie sockpuppets on FQXi that he persuaded the administrator to banish them to their own thread, FQXi-395, which is archived on El Naschie Watch in two parts, 1 and 2.

Luboš Motl, the string theorist who regards Lee Smolin, Peter Woit and Lisi all as crackpots, reports that Smolin and Woit are "throwing Lisi under the bus". Luboš avers that they promoted Lisi when his media-darling status was helpful to them, but now that the failure of Lisi's theory is widely known, they see him as a liability.

The immorality of these people knows no limits... These people are worthless stinky piles of garbage, scientifically as well as morally...

Preface

Functional analysis is a branch of mathematical analysis, it focuses on mainly metric spaces with special structures. This textbook, beginning with everyday sensual experience, is for students who have never studied the subject, and introduces them to touch the frontiers of modern science including negative spacetime (negative dimensions), fractal space time, faster-than-light particles, and optimization without Lagrange multipliers. In order to confirm the beginners what they have learned is useful, two examples arising in modern textile engineering(nanofibers and nanocrystalline materials) are given, which can be used as paradigms for further applications of mathematics into practical problems. Furthermore, the textbook gives a brief but heuristic introduction of ancient Chinese mathematics and ancient Egyptian mathematics, making the textbook unique in its sense. Yes, every knowledge works for ever, ancient mathematics when revisited in the light of new developments may reveal hidden pearls. The inequality used by He Chengtian(369?~447AD) for Chinese lunar calendar can be used to solve nonlinear differential equations much effectively, while the ancient Egyptian fractions can be used for solving nonlinear algebraic equations much easily.

Well, there's a running joke on the anarchic 4chan image board that Josef Fritzl is Australian.

While doing the rounds this morning I came upon M. Shafiee, S. Abbasbandy, T. Allahviranloo, Predictor-Corrector Method for Nonlinear Fuzzy Volterra Integral Equations, Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences (AJBAS), 5(12): 2865-2874, 2011 which is embedded below for your amusement. The fact that El Naschie is heavily and prominently cited is what brought it to my attention, of course. It's amazing that in this day and age anyone still cites him without irony or humor, but there you go.

It's too bad Mohamed El Naschie, to whom the Nobel Prize "lost its way" because he is Muslim, named Mohamed, and carries an Egyptian passport, doesn't comment on El Naschie Watch. Because it would be amusing to be called a racist for observing that the list above includes Egypt 17 times, Iran 19 times, India 36 times, and Australia... erm... not even once.

East of the problems that the West is undoubtedly the lack of spirituality and mysticism to achieve a calm face was blank. أي معادلة رياضية يتساوى فيها طرفان غير متساويين هي أصلاً ليست معادلة رياضية، ولا حتى معادلة سياسية.
موضوع اليوم هو بلا شك ليس السياسة، رغم تشابه بعض الأوضاع المؤسفة اليوم على الساحة السياسية العربية بمعادلة الأصفار بالوحدة؛ حيث نرى اليوم أصفارًا تصول وتجول كما لو كانت قيم حقيقية، وهو ما لا يمكن أن يكون ولا حتى في عالم الأرقام التخيلية؛ مثل الجذر التربيعي لقيمة سالبة.

موضوع مقالة اليوم هو مجال يبدو لأول وهلة شديد التجريد ولا علاقة له بالواقع التجريبي وعلوم مثل الطبيعة النظرية وميكانيكا الكم. موضوع اليوم هو جزءٌ مما يسمى بالإنجليزية "ست ثيوري" (set theory)، أو بالأصل الألماني (منجن لاره)، وهو ما يمكن أن يسمى بالعربية "نظرية المنظومات". هذا العلم هو أساس علم الرياضيات بأكمله.

وقد خطر لكاتب هذا المقال منذ عشرات السنين أنه بما أن العلوم الطبيعية ترتكز على الرياضيات وبما أن الرياضيات ترتكز بأكملها على نظرية المنظومات فمن الطبيعي أن نسنتنج كنتجية بديهية أن العلوم الطبيعية، خاصة علم ميكانيكا الكم الحديث بكل غرائبه وأعاجيبه، ترتكز هي الأخرى على نفس النظرية، وهي نظرية "الست ثيوري" (set theory)، أي "المنجن لاره"، أو نظرية المنظومات كما نسميها بالعربية. هذه النظرية التجريدية الرياضية البحتة والتي ابتدع أساسها عالم الرياضيات الألماني الأشهر "جورج كانتور" منذ أكثر من مائة عام، تقدمت تقدمًا كبيرًا في السنوات الأخيرة بفضل أبحاث العلماء الروس من مدرسة موسكو الشهيرة، أولًا ومنذ ما يقرب من سنتين فقط بفضل عالم رياضيات أمريكي فذ يعمل حاليًّا في قسم الرياضيات بجامعة بركلي بكاليفورنيا واسمه "هيو وودن" (Hugh Woodin).

وبتدقيق النظر في أعمال مدرسة موسكو في روسيا وعلى الأخص أعمال أبطالها مثل "نكولاي ساسلن" (N. Suslin)، وكذلك أوريزون وألكسندروف.

وبالطبع أعمال الأمريكي "وودن" (Woodin) أقول بالتمعن في هذه الأعمال المبدعة إني استطعت أن أصل إلى قناعة أصبحت الآن حقيقة علمية، وهي أن المعادلات العجيبة لنظريات المنظومات (set theory) من "كانتور" إلى "وودن" من الممكن كتابتها بشكل كبير من التبسيط على أنها تعني أن الوحدة تتساوى مع الصفر تحت ظروف ومفاهيم معينة وأن هذه المعادلات يمكن توظيفها في العلوم الطبيعية.

لم تكن المفاجأة كبيرة بالنسبة للكاتب كباحث في نظرية توحيد القوى الأساسية، وهي القوى الكهرومغنطيسية والقوى الذرية، أي القوى القصوى والقوة الضعيفة إلى جانب قوة الجاذبية. توحيد هذه القوى الخمس هو مرادف لتوحيد نظرية الكم مع نظرية النسبية.

هناك نتائج معملية عديدة فيما يخص نظرية النسبية وأكثر منها نظرية الكم تدعوا للاستغراب ومن الصعب على العقل البشري النمطي أو الكلاسيكي أن يفهمها. من هذا المنطلق شعر الكاتب أن معادلات رياضية غريبة جدًّا مثل تساوي الوحدة مع الصفر ولكن صحيحة ومبنية على منطق رياضي كامل وصحيح يمكن استخدامها لفهم تجارب معملية خاصة بنظرية الكم ونظرية النسبية الخاصة والعامة، وتوحيد كلا النظريتين في نظرية واحدة.

مثالٌ مهم لمثل هذه التجارب هو ما يعرف بالإنجليزية باسم الـ"كونتم إنتنجلمنت" (Quantum Entanglement)، وهو ما يمكن أن يترجم بالعربية "بالارتباط الفوري". لشرح ذلك نقول عندما يرتبط حدثان في مكانين مختلفين فورًا مهما بَعُدَ المكانان بعضهم عن بعض، فإن هذا يعني أن هناك صِلة بينهم توصلهم عن طريق إشارة ترتحل بسرعة أكبر كثيرًا من سرعة الضوء. الحقيقة مثل هذه الإشارة الفورية تعني أن الإشارة ترتحل بسرعة ما لا نهاية، وهو مخالف اختلاف جذري لنظرية أينشتين الخاصة والعامة للنسبية، بل هدم لها. حلُ هذه المعضلة والتوفيق بين نظرية الكم ونظرية النسبية لا يمكن أن يكون في إطار كلاسيكي بمعادلات رياضية كلاسكية كما توضح نظريتي منذ أكثر من عشرين عامًا تقريبًا. الوضع يختلف كليًّا في إطار معادلات يتساوى فيها الصفر مع الواحد.

ولفهم ذلك.. تصور أن هناك مسافةً مقدارها الواحدة من السنوات الضوئية، وتصور بالإضافة إلى ذلك أن هذه المسافة تتساوى مع مسافة طولها الصفر.. في هذه الحالة من السهل تصور وجود سرعة مقدارها مالا نهاية؛ حيث إن السرعة هي مقسوم المسافة على الزمن. سوف أخاطر هنا بالقول إن من هذا المنظور كلًّا من الإسراء والمعراج، وكذلك الـ"كونتم إنتنجلمنت" ما هم سوى ظواهر بسيطة لكون رائع يفوق في روعته أي خيال للإنسان الذي هو عن حقٍّ لم يؤت من العِلم ولا الخيال إلا قليلاً.

There was a bit of a kerfuffle with the El Naschie story (he’s suing Nature for libel in the UK) resulting in some lively discussion about the merits of his case and some soul searching on my part as I try to establish both an open and civil environment here.

This was in reference to an intemperate comment by Hassan that had been awaiting moderation while Maryse agonized over it. Hassan's comment and Maryse's response, and mine, can be read in the archive (or on FrogHeart once my response clears moderation).

El Naschie Watch is not a pornographic blog. See this post for an explanation of Hassan's allusion.

Hassan says "Sooner or later people will find out who you are Jason" which is odd because I don't blog anonymously or pseudonymously. My full name, contact information, place of residence, biographical details, etc., are easily found by anyone who Googles or clicks around my blog a bit.

I'm not gay, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Readers may recall that in the past there has been controversy over Wikipedia articles about El Naschie. The English language page was deleted, re-created, and then deleted again in late 2008. See parts one, two and three for the history. I myself was involved in edit wars in the Arabic language page. My contributions were vandalized. And now back to the present. In an email, Shrink brings to my attention this interesting 12 November 2011 entry in the Wikipedia:Requested articles/Biography/By profession page:

Mohamed El Naschie (requested 2011-11-12) who is suing the journal Nature over allegations that he is a pseudoscientist. German Wikipedia article here. Arabic Wikipedia article here. RationalWiki article here. A critical blog here, with many additional sources here.

Between his law suit against Nature, his sacking by Elsevier from Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, his citation scamming scandal with Ji-Huan He, and his candidacy for the Egyptian presidency, El Naschie has become more famous and more infamous than he used to be, and it seems no longer possible to object to him on the basis of Wikipedia's notability criteria. It helps that there are numerous secondary sources of information about him. And there are other Wikipedia articles, like the Elsevier one, that would benefit by a link to his page.

This surely would be a worthy project for some enterprising Wikipedian among the readers of El Naschie Watch. I'd be happy to help but I'd rather not be the primary author. Note that Wikipedia is a bit prickly about biographies of living persons.

On alfath-news.com there's a truly wonderful new interview with the Great Man by Amer Abdel Moneim. He talks about current events in Egypt, Mohamed ElBaradei, Ahmed Zewail, his upbringing, and even about the Golden Section and his scientific theories! El Naschie has complaints about the awarding of Nobel Prizes, as you will see. He also says he's not a liberal and is content with the good showing of the Salafists and Muslim Brotherhood in the recent elections. He does not mention his law suit against Nature, which suggests he knows he's going to lose badly. Compare this omission with his cockiness in early 2010 when he said the Nature lawsuit is "almost won" and that he expected to win ten million pounds sterling. ** نريد أن نتعرف على الدكتور محمد النشائي ومسيرته العلمية وأهم إنجازاته البحثية.
* أنا فلاح ابن فلاح مصري، ووالدي ضابط في الجيش، رباني على حب المعرفة، وعندما حدثت نكبة فلسطين كنت طفلاً صغيرًا فتشبعت بحب القضية الفلسطينية مبكرًا، وكنا نخشى ألَّا يعود أبي من هذه الحرب، وقد عاصرت وأنا طفل عمره حوالي 6 أو 7 سنوات حريق القاهرة وقيام ثورة 1952م، وتربيت على حب هذه الثورة وأحسست بمعاناة العدوان الثلاثي 1956.
أرسلني والدي إلى هانوفر بألمانيا للحصول على التوجيهية (الثانوية العامة)، ثم قرر إدخالي كلية الهندسة في ألمانيا قسم هندسة مدنية فأطعته.

وبعد تخرجي في جامعة هانوفر، أحببت العلم من أجل رِفعة مصر ومن أجل فلسطين، فاشتغلت مهندسًا وكان لدي مكتبٌ هندسيٌّ، ثم لظروف معينة ذهبت إلى إنجلترا ودرست في "نيو فيرستي كوليج" الميكانيكا التطبيقية، وحصلت على الدكتوراه من هناك في عِلم الاستقرار أو الثبات، وكانت التطبيقات على الأعمدة والقِبَاب الواسعة بدون أعمدة، ثم فوجئت أن هناك عِلمًا اسمه علم الشواش أو علم الفوضى، أو الفوضى المحددة ومدخله كان طريق عِلم الاستقرار أو الثبات، وعلى الرغم من أنه عِلم يميل إلى النظرية والفيزيائية لكن وجدت له تطبيقات كثيرة في البورصة والمناخ وتحركات البشر العشوائية. ومع اهتمامي بالعلوم الإنسانية وميلي لهذا العمل اشتغلت فيه فترة، ثم ذهبت إلى السعودية للعمل هناك بعدما قابلني في إنجلترا الدكتور صالح بن عبد الرحمن العزل، وكانت السعودية عندئذٍ متأخرة جدًّا، وفي ذلك الوقت جاءني عرضٌ من حزب البعث الحاكم في العراق لتولي رئاسة جامعة الموصل، وكانت فرصة أكثر من ممتازة لكن زوجتي فضلت السعودية، وهناك أكرمت جدًّا في جامعة الرياض ثم أرسلت إلى أمريكا حيث كان يرسل لي راتبي هناك، ونجحت في إدخال البحث العلمي في السعودية وبدأت تدريجيًّا أميل للعلوم الفيزيائية والرياضية أكثر من العلوم الهندسية، ثم قررت العودة للسعودية بعدما أمضيت فترة في جامعة "لاس ألا موس" و"نيو مكسيكو"، وفي السعودية كنت مدير المشاريع والإنشاء بجامعة القصيم هناك ثم رجعت إلى كورنيل في أمريكا، وعملت هناك سنة ونصف؛ ثم ساعدني أستاذي السيد هيلمان بوندي مدير جامعة كمبردج على العمل في كمبردج.

ومن هنا كان عملي في كمبردج لمدة 11 سنة، وعملت في جامعة رسل الحرة في بلجيكا، وجامعة فرانكفورت في ألمانيا، وبدأت علاقتي مع الصين وزاد تلاميذي هناك في جامعة جيا أوتونجا، وكنت أذهب لأعطي محاضرات وأقوم بأبحاث، واستمرت علاقتي بالمملكة العربية السعودية، فكنت مديرًا لأول معهد لتقنية النانو هناك واسمه معهد الملك عبد الله، وجاء ارتباطي بمصر بجامعة الأسكندرية والقاهرة والمنصورة، وكنت أستاذًا شرفيًّا وحاضرت في أغلب الجامعات.

ثم اكتشفت أن علم الفوضى المحددة لا يتعلمه الفيزيائيون الذين يشتغلون في سرعة الضوء والنسبية، وهو يدخل في الهندسة والكيمياء وعلم المواد، ثم فوجئت أن مشاكل كثيرة في مسألة توحيد القوى الأساسية يمكن حَلُّهَا عن طريق علم الفوضى المحددة، والهندسة التي تصف هذا العلم هي الهندسة الفراكتالية المقصود بها هندسة الأشياء (الملخبطة) أو "كنتورسيت"، فتزاوجت هذه الأشياء معي وحققتُ مالم يحققه غيري بتوحيد الجاذبية مع مجموعة القوى الأساسية، وهذا كان بداية لمشروعاتي التي جعلت البعض يقول إني أستحق جائزة نوبل.

** هل يمكن أن توضح لنا أكثر عن نظريتك؟
* نظريتي تشرح مسائل لم يتم التوفيق بينها، ولاسيما التوفيق بين نظرية النسبية العامة التي تتعامل مع الأجسام الضخمة؛ مثل الكون والمجرات، ونظرية الكمِّ التي تتعامل مع الأشياء الصغيرة جدًّا؛ مثل الذرات والإلكترون والبروتون أو ما نسميها الأجسام الأولية إليمنترى بارتليس. والنظريتان متضاربتان، لكن نظريتي نجحت في ربطهما ببعض رغم تنافرهما عبر استخدام عِلم الهندسة الفراكتالية، وبمنتهى البساطة باستخدام الهندسة العادية الممثلة في الكرة والمستطيل والمسطح والنقطة، وهذه الأشكال لا تكفي لوصف هذه الموضوعات المعقدة، لكن في الهندسة الفراكتالية ليس هناك ما يسمى بالنقطة، ويجب أن يكون لديك عقل فلسفي وخيالي؛ لأني أسأل عن أشياء أساسية؛ مثل ماذا قبل الشيء؟ وحتى النقطة فإن تعريفها خاطئ؛ حيث يمكن تقسيمها تحت المجهر. والهندسة التي يمكنها حل هذه المشكلة المعقدة هي الهندسة الفراكتالية التي قمت باستخدامها.

المقطع الذهبي
** نريد أن تحدثنا عن نظرية المقطع الذهبي التي يعتبرك العلماء في كل أنحاء العالم المرجع الرئيسي لها، فما هي ملامح هذه النظرية؟
* اكتشافي الغريب هو أن المقطع الذهبي هو نتيجة معادلة رياضية تظهر في العديد من الإنجازات الإنسانية، ولكن أيضا في الطبيعة بصورة عجيبة.
الرقم الذهبي هو نتيجة جذر 5 +1 على 2 ولإيجاد قيمة تقريبية لهذا الرقم يمكننا استعمال آلة حاسبة. قيمته التقريبية هي 1.6180339887 ولكن عدد الأرقام العشرية لا متناهية ولا يمكن توقّعها أو التكهن بها، وتظل هكذا إلى ما لا نهاية، وستصل بك في النهاية إلى المقطع الذهبي.

النسبة الغريبة هذه تلعب دورًا في الجمال، فتجد شكل الإنسان مُكونًا على هذه النسبة ودوار الشمس مرصوصًا على هذه النسبة لكن وجودها في عِلم الكمِّ كان شيئًا غريبًا، وهذا من الأسباب التي جعلتني أدرسها دراسة كبيرة وأصبح العلماء يسمون هذه النظرية باسمي، وأنى مكتشف المقطع الذهبي في عِلم الكمِّ، فالمقطع الذهبي يلعب دورًا في كل شيء في الطبيعة المرئية وغير المرئية.

وللأسف كنت أفصل بين العِلم والإيمان، وعِلم الجمال وعلوم الحقائق التجريبية؛ حتى تبيَّن لي أن الإيمان والعلم مرتبطان جدًّا، فالمقطع الذهبي تبيَّن لي أنه موجود في العلوم التجريبية مثلما هو موجود في عِلم الخلق والجمال.
فالمقطع الذهبي سيُحدث لك صدمة، سيتبين أن الفصل الذي قمنا به هو فصل وهمي.

هذا الفصل الوهمي لايزال يدخل به كلام فلسفي مثل نقطة هي ما لانهاية من النقط لكنها نقطة واحدة.
المواضيع كلها أصبحت تدخل في بعضها بطريقة لا يشتهيها الفلاسفة المنظرون لعِلم المادة، وهو ما عبَّرت عنه بأن المادة ليست مادية كما هم يتصورون، فأنت قسَّمت العالم إلى روحانيات وماديات. بالنسبة للماديين الذين قاموا باختراع الطائرات والصواريخ فتولد فكرة أن الدين ليس له علاقة بالاختراعات والعلم، والمفاجأة الرهيبة التي حدثت أنه أصبح هناك أساس مشترك، فلو نظرنا لعالم الماديات بأنه علم ميكانيكا الكم التي فيها المقطع الذهبي، فإن أسس العالم المادي هي العلوم وأسس العلوم هي ميكانيكا الكم، وهي الميكانيكا التي تتعامل مع الذرات والجزئيات الصغيرة، وعندما تجد الجولدن مين (المقطع الذهبي) في أساسها تصدم رغم أنهم وجدوها قبل ذلك لكنهم لم ينتبهوا له.

وعِلم القيم منه الأخلاق، والأخلاق من الدين والجمال أيضا لا يمكن قياسه في العِلم المادي لكنه يقاس في عِلم الجمال، ومن أسس عِلم الجمال الجولدن مين، وتفاجأ بوجود المقطع الذهبي في عِلم الجمال وعِلم القيم التي نسميها مجازًا بأنها علوم، ونجده في علوم مادية حقيقية، إذن كارثة للنظرية المادية البحتة وأصحابها الذين فصلوا العِلم عن الدين ثم تنبهت أن العِلم يعمل بالجولدن مين ولا يمكن فصل العِلم عن الدين، ولا يمكن أن أعيش دون الدين.

بعد دراستي أستطيع أن أقول إن عِلم الماديات ليس ماديًّا كما كنا نتصور. بل هو مادي في ظاهره ولكن باطنه غير مادي. فالدنيا كلها قائمة على الروحانيات وليس الماديات وإنما في أعماق الأعماق واخترنا القرن الحادي والعشرين لنقول ذلك، وأنا أقوله من مُنطلق العالم الذي اكتشف ذلك، ومجهودي أني جمعت جهود الآخرين وأن النظرية أثبتت معمليًّا.

"لوسين هاردي" وهو أيرلندي يعمل حاليًّا في كندا هو الذي اكتشف هذه الأشياء مُستخدمًا الميكانيكا القديمة أو ميكانيكا الكمِّ، أما أنا فقد استخدمت نظريتي فتوصلت لنفس النتيجة قبله بنحو 20 سنة، ولم يكن كل منا على عِلم باكتشاف الآخر لهذه النتيجة الواحدة.

ثم جاء علماء للتأكد من نظرية هاردى وقاموا بتجارب في لاس ألاموس ثم تجارب في فيرمي لاب فظهرت النتائج متطابقة مع نظريته ونظريتى لكنه لم يستوعب أن العدد الذي يستخدمه هو الجولدن مين وأن هذا العدد موجود في عِلم القيم والجمال، لكن أنا مَنْ وعى بهذا الشكل، لكنني كتبت في جريدةٍ عن مسألةٍ علميةٍ، ورغم أنها مسألة علمية لكن لها تداعيات رهيبة لعلم الأخلاق والجمال الفلسفة.

يجب أن تتغير الدنيا وننظر لها نظرة جديدة ونعي روعة الكون دون خجل؛ لأن العلم من يقول ذلك وليس الشيوخ فقط، فطوال عمر العلماء نجدهم لا يريدون أن يصبحوا شيوخًا، فالآن لم يعد هذا الأمر يُخجل؛ لأن العلم أثبت أن الدين حقيقة علمية وليس خزعبلات –كما يزعم الماديون- وعندما سرت في طريق العلم الحقيقي أوصلني للإيمان في النهاية بشكل غريب بطريقة غير معتادة من خلال شيء مادي بحت، وذلك الأمر بالنسبة لعالم مادي 100% هو صدمة بكل المقاييس فالعلم أساسه روحاني وليس ماديًّا الحقيقة أنه ليس هناك ماديات وروحانيات لكن هناك الله خالق كل شيء.

** هل هناك أمثلة مبسطة لنظرية المقطع الذهبي؟
* لو قمت بِعَدِ أوراق زهرة دوَّار الشمس فستحصل على المقطع الذهبي ونسبته، والمقطع الذهبي موجود في شبه البلورات (كوازي كريستال)، والذين اكتشفوا ذلك دون أن يذكروه بالاسم هم الفراعنة القدماء، عندما بنوا الأهرامات، ثم انتقل إلى الأندلس في عهد بني الأحمر.

ومن الأمثلة: تكوين جسم الإنسان. عندما تحلل نسبة وجه الإنسان ستجدها المقطع الذهبي، ولم يكن مفاجئا أيضًا إيجاد أن خارج قسمة الطول الإجمالي لجسم الإنسان على ارتفاع السرة عن الأرض مساو، هو الآخر، للرقم الذهبي. وكل ما هو في الطبيعة جميل وكل ما هو في الفن جميل يخضع لطبيعة المقطع الذهبي وتكويناته المختلفة.

والذي اكتشفته أن المقطع الذهبي في لُبِّ هذه المواضيع، وهنا وجدنا أنه لأول مرة وجدنا كوبري أو وصلة بين عِلمين..وهما: علوم القيم؛ مثل الجمال والأخلاق والقيم والأديان، والعلوم التجريبية وهو المقطع الذهبي.

قصة الخلق
** ما رأيك في مشروع الهيدرون الذي يتم الآن في سويسرا لمحاكاة خلق الأرض، والذي يعتقد البعض أنه يهدف لإثبات أن الكون خلق نفسه بنفسه، وأنه ليس هناك خالق خلق الكون، فما رأيك في هذا المشروع؟
* هذا الفهم خاطئ، ولكن الحقيقة أن المحاولة هي تجربة لإنشاء المادة من الطاقة وأن تكون المادة مركزة جدًّا لدرجة أنها تصبح أشبه بثقب أسود والثقب الأسود هو مادة مكدسة جدًّا حتى أنه إذا دخل فيها ضوء يتم شفطه بحيث لا تراها، والمحاولة لدراسة الثقوب السوداء.

وأنت من هذه التجارب تثبت وجود الله لأنك لم تأتِ بأي شيء من العدم، فأنت وكل هذه الأشياء من أين أتيتم؟ فإنكار الخلق مستحيل؛ لأن أي إنسان يعلم أنه حتى لو أوجد إنسانًا فهو آتٍ به من أشياء مخلوقة في الأصل ولم يأت به من العدم.

وأنا تحديت بذلك العالم جيرا توفت الحاصل على جائزة نوبل في الطبيعة النظرية، وهو ملحد ولم يستطع الدفاع عن إلحاده ولم يجب عن تساؤلاتي في جلسات تمت بيني وبينه.

لقد تحولت من محمد النشائي المادي الذي كان عنده روحانيات إلى محمد النشائي الذي يعتقد أن المادة والروحانيات كلاهما شيء واحد.

إن المادة في عالمنا نحن، مادة وليس لها أي قيمة كبيرة ويمكن بسهولة أن تفرق بين المادة الحية والإلكترون أما بالنسبة إلينا فإن المادة ليست مادية كما يتصورها الماديون فحركة الإلكترون تجعلك تعتقد أن الإلكترون يتحرك من خلال شخصية وإرادة ووعي بنفسه.

إذن التقسيم الساذج الذي تقوم عليه المادية الجدلية لهيجل - والتي تمثل أساس التفكير الشيوعي الفلسفي - بها نقص كبير جدًّا؛ لأن العلوم الطبيعية في عهد هيجل وكارل ماركس لم تكن قد وصلت إلى هذه الدرجة من التقدم لفهم الذرة وفهم ما تحت الذرة لذلك فالمادة ليست مادية كما يتصورون.
هناك خالق مدبر لكل شيء في الكون وفق منطق محدد ودقيق.

مصر والبحث العلمي
** ما هي أسباب تخلف مصر في مجال البحث العلمي حتى الآن؟
* بمنتهى البساطة يعود ذلك لضعف الإنفاق عليه لعدم الإيمان بقيمته، فالدول المقبول إنفاقها على البحث العلمي تنفق 3% من الدخل القومي لها سنويًّا عليه.

نحن في مصر ننفق 2 من الألف، وأغلبها تُنفق كمرتبات، فكيف نلحق بالدول التي تسبقنا؟! في الثلاثين سنة الماضية كانت هناك حالة من الهدوء السياسي، هذه الفترة التي كان يجب أن ننفق فيها على العلم بسرعة وسخاء نسبة 3% من الدخل عليه، لكن ذلك لم يتحقق، وأنا شخصيًّا سعيت لحث المسئولين وفشلت.
يجب أن يكون البحث العلمي تحت الإشراف المباشر من رئيس الجمهورية، فجمال عبد الناصر عندما سعى لتقدم البحث العلمي، ربط وزير البحث العلمي به وليس برئيس الوزراء، وكذلك فعل "نهرو" في الهند وأتى بزميل له من كامبردج وكلفه ببناء هيئة الطاقة الذرية.

الدكتور محمد غنيم نجح بفضل علاقته بالسادات في إنشاء مستشفى كُلى كبير في المنصورة، فكانت طلباته تطاع لأنه أصبح مستشارًا طبيًّا خاصًّا لرئيس الجمهورية، ولمَّا حاولت الحصول على ورقة مماثلة من مبارك - الذي كان بطيئًا في التفكير واتخاذ القرار، كما أن الوزراء كانوا يمنعون أي تقارب مع الرئيس – فلما طلبت تولي هيئة النانو تكنولوجي وأن تكون تابعة لرئيس الجمهورية وليس رئيس الوزراء تدخل هاني هلال وقال لأحمد نظيف: إن النشائي يريد أن يكون رئيسًا للوزراء مكانك، فأوقف لي نظيف كل شيء، وبعد فترة وجدت نفسي لا أستطيع دخول جامعة القاهرة، فهذه هي المشكلة عندما تجد نفسك تطالب بشيء تجد من يعارضونك، وعندما طلبت 50 مليون جنيه لإنشاء الهيئة والرئيس ليس معه، تدخل رئيس الوزراء وقال لرئيس الجمهورية السابق: النشائي يخدعك، فصدق الرئيس رئيس الوزراء لأنه لم يطلب منه أموالاً بل طلب البقاء في مكانه.

مشروع زويل
** ما رأيك في مشروع أحمد زويل؟
* احذروا من الدكتور البرادعي والدكتور زويل، لأنهما ظاهرتان غربيتان متصلتان باسرائيل وأمريكا، وليسا منا.
يؤسفني أن أقول إن مشروع زويل كذبة كبرى، وتضليلي من الألف إلى الياء، لا سيما في الوقت الحالي؛ لأنه من المشاريع الضخمة التي تحتاج لإنفاق المليارات، والمشروع الوحيد الذي كنا بحاجة له هو بناء السد العالي، وهو آخر مشروع ضخم نحتاج إليه، نحن بحاجة إلى مشروعات صغيرة قليلة التكلفة، وتحسين البنية العلمية التحتية والتي ستحتاج إلى وقت طويل من العمل والجهد، كما أن الميزانية بوضعها السيئ تجعل من غير المنطقي تبني مشروعات بحث علمي ضخمة طويلة الأمد وعالية التكلفة في وقت نعاني فيه من عجز الميزانية وانتشار الفقر، فمن باب أولى تأمين حاضري حتى أرسم لنفسي مستقبل.

ثم مَن هو الدكتور زويل ليتبنى مشروعًا قوميًّا باسمه هو؟ فأين هو من طلعت حرب وجمال عبد الناصر وعظماء مصر الذين بنوا مصر؟! وتقول لي عن زويل إنه تم ترشيحه من جمعية في استوكهولم وأعطوا له جائزةً بناءً على ترشيحٍ من معهد وايزمان في إسرائيل، إذن من يعمل في مصر الآن هو "عبيط" فلنذهب ونعمل في أمريكا ليقوموا بتعييننا حتى تعترف بنا مصر، فيبدو أن مصر لا تعترف بمن خدموها ولكن تعترف بمن خدموا أمريكا وهذا أحط مثل سمعت عنه بخصوص عقدة الخواجة من يوم مولدي.

عندما تقول إن مشروعك يقوده مهندس مصري يصبح الأمر منطقيًّا، فمهندس خبير بتفاصيل مصر أو مجموعة من العلماء والباحثين الذين يدركون قدرات واحتياجات مصر، لكن أن تأتي بشخص هو في أمريكا لم يقدم أي شيء غير الاشتراك مع فريقه البحثي ونحن لا نريد عمل بحث نحن نريد عمل نهضة.

العلماء يُقسمون إلى ثلاث فئات:
1- عالم ميزته التدريس لم يتميز في البحوث لكن قدرته على توصيل المعلومة ممتازة.
2- عالم يتميز في البحث لكن قدرته على توصيل المعلومة ليست جيدة.
3- والعالم الأهم هو الباني الذي يبني الأقسام والجامعات والإداريات.

وجائزة نوبل تعطى لمن يتميز في البحث، وأبحاث الغرب المتقدمة جدًّا لسنا الآن بحاجة إليها، فماذا يمكن أن نستفيد به من الأبحاث الغربية في حل مشكلة الصرف الصحي أو دودة القطن أو الأحوال البيئية السيئة في مصر، فكل دولة تجتهد في مجال بعيد عن الدول الأخرى، كما أن مشروع زويل مبني على الجمعية التي أنشأها معه دكتور عصام شرف وضلل المجلس العسكري وجعلهم يعترفون بالمشروع الذي هو مضر لمصر وهو مشروع ضجة إعلامية. ليس لخبراء نوبل أي معرفة بوضع مصر فهذا مجرد تضليل إعلامي، هناك متعهد لنوبل اسمه "إلي جيزل" الذي اخترع كلمة "هولوكوست" بمعنى "مفجعة" وهو إسرائيلي، وقد حصل من خلالها على جائزة نوبل، وهو صديق لزويل، ومتعهد بأن يأخذ 35 من الحاصلين على جائزة نوبل ليذهبوا إلى قطر ليلقوا محاضرات بها تحت رعاية الشيخة موزة.

معهد وايزمان هو المرشح الأول لجائزة نوبل؛ حيث إن وايزمان حاصل على جائزة نوبل في الكيمياء وابنه رئيس سابق لإسرائيل. وزويل عمل في إسرائيل لمدة سنة في معهد وايزمان وكان يتعامل مع الجيش الإسرائيلي وذلك باعتراف زويل، وحصل على جائزة وولف الإسرائيلية وحاصل على الجنسية الأمريكية. أنا لا يعنيني هذا الشأن فهو حر. لكن ما أستغرب له أن تأتي برجل أمريكي وتعطي له أموال المصريين الذين لا يجدون ما يكفيهم، فالشعب لا يجد ما يأكله بينما هم ذهبوا ليحضروا الحاصلين على جائزة نوبل حتى يظهروا في قناة دريم ويُصفِّقُون لهم ويُصفِّق لهم المسلماني ويقول مجدي الجلاد: "ياسلام يازويل شرفتنا"، وماذا أفعل بعد ذلك؟ دون أن يستفيد الشعب بشيء، بل هؤلاء العلماء الفائزون بنوبل الذين سيحضرهم زويل إلى مصر هم الذين سيستفيدون بعد حصول كل فرد منهم على 25 ألف دولار في الليلة، وبعد سنة سيكون تم صرف كل أموال المشروع، وربما يأتوننا بأي شيء اخترعوه في أمريكا ليخدعونا به ويدَّعوا أنهم اخترعوه في مصر.. بصراحة هذا شيء مقزز أنا أرفضه. هل نجمع الفلوس لنعطيها لمبعوث أوباما؟ ما هذا الخبل؟

وعندما أقارن بين السلفيين الذين يقدمون البطاطين للغلابة والفقراء وبين من يجمعون الأموال ويعطوها لمبعوث أوباما سأعطي صوتي للسلفيين.

للأسف المجموعة الحالية تغرر بالسلطة وتعطل المشروعات، وأنا أتحداه أن يحضر لي 25 عالمَ طبيعة مصريًّا يقومون بتأييده.

وعندما يظهر زويل في برنامج تليفزيوني ستجد أول سؤال من علاء الأسواني ويقول: أنت فخر لمصر، وقصائد من المديح، ويليه مجدي الجلاد، ثم سيجرجرون الدكتور مجدي يعقوب المحترم.

وكل المداخلات التي ستتم معد لها سلفًا برعاية صاحب قناة دريم ومنى الشاذلي و CBC وغيرها، ويتم تجهيز زويل قبل الحلقة، وزويل أذكى من البرادعي لكن البرادعي أخطر، فالرجل شعر أنه لن يتمكن من أن يصبح رئيسًا للجمهورية فانسحب رغم أن أنصاره يحاولون تحقيق ذلك لكن هو نفسه انسحب مكتفيًا بفكرة العالم والمرشد الأكبر مثل الخوميني، هذا صح وهذا خطأ!!

دور البرادعي
** ما رأيك في محمد البرادعي؟
* البرادعي رجل اختارته أمريكا لرئاسة الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية وهذه الوكالة لا يرأسها إلا رجل يدين بالولاء الكامل لأمريكا.

قد يترك الأمريكيون منصب سكرتير الأمم المتحدة وقد يقبلون ببعض التنازل في الشخصية المختارة لهذا المنصب، لكن الوكالة الذرية لا تهاون في اختيار من يرأسها؛ لأنها المفتاح الذي يمسكون به إيران وكوريا الشمالية والعرب وكل من لا يريدون له الحصول على الطاقة النووية حتى السلمية منها. كان خادمًا أمينًا لهذه القضية، فخطره وضرره أكبر بكثير، كما قال الدكتور يسري أبو شادي. والبرادعي كتب تقارير سيئة عن مصر أدت إلى تعطيلها، كما قام بإبعاد دول الخليج عن التفكير في الطاقة النووية السلمية، والسعودية بالذات ولا أريد أن أقول أكثر من هذا في الوقت الحالي.

ودوره في العراق كان هدامًا جدًّا، ومضادًا له، وفي المقابل كان موقف هانز بليكس أفضل من البرادعي، حيث قال بليكس إن ما قاله البرادعي كلام "فارغ"؛ لذلك أعطيت الجائزة في ذلك الوقت للوكالة التي قامت بدورها في منع امتلاك العراق للطاقة النووية والبرادعي قام بدوره على أكمل وجه فتمت مكافأته.

جائزة نوبل
** ما هي رؤيتك لجائزة نوبل؟
* يوجد تلاعب فيها على الأقل في العلم لكن هي لها مقاييس غربية لأنه في أي وقت هناك مجموعة من العلماء يستحقون الجائزة لكنها تختار منهم لأسباب ليس لها علاقة بالعلم ولكن لأسباب شخصية وسياسية وعرقية، وإذا كنت تريد الحصول على جائزة نوبل حاول أن يكون أهلك أوروبيين أو أمريكان أو يابانيين وإن لم يتحقق لك ذلك فاذهب إلى هذه البلدان وعش فيها.

كل الجوائز فيها التلاعب لكن المشكلة في المولد الذي يفعلونه على جائزة نوبل ويقومون بضجة لصاحبها ويصبح العريف الذي يُسأل في كل شيء حتى الخلافات الأسرية والأمراض وتربية الأبناء مما يدل على تخلفنا وعجزنا!
هل هناك تأخر أفظع من الحديث عن نجيب محفوظ باعتباره الحائز على جائزة نوبل، فهل لغة الضاد يُقيِّمُ أدباءَها أشخاصٌ لا يوجد فيهم أحد يعرف في اللغة العربية حرفًا ضمن لجنة نوبل للآداب؟ ومنذ متى نجيب محفوظ أهم أديب في مصر؟!

** إذن لماذا أعطوه جائزة نوبل من وجهة نظرك؟
* أرى أنه منح الجائزة لأنه وفقًا لمقاييس نوبل في الأدب يستحقها؛ لأن من أهم الأمور موافقته على التطبيع مع إسرائيل وتحامله على التيار الإسلامي. وأصدقاؤه المقربون قالوا إنه أجاد اللعبة في الحصول على الجائزة.
إن اعتراضي إنما هو على أن يصبح تقييم أديبٍ عربيٍّ من نوبل أو الاتحاد الأوروبي.

الإسلاميون والانتخابات
** ما رأيك في نتائج الانتخابات البرلمانية وحملة التخويف من الإسلاميين؟
*نتائج الانتخابات منطقية 100%، فأنا لست سلفيًّا ولن أكون سلفيًّا ولا كنت من الإخوان ولا الوفد ولا من التيارات الليبرالية.
فأنا أحب المساواة والعدالة الاجتماعية.
وإذا كان مجدي الجلاد وعلاء الأسواني ليبراليين فأنا لست ليبراليًّا، أنا كأي مواطن مصري أريد حزبًا يهتم بي إذا كنت جوعانًا أم شبعانًا، إن كنت بردانًا ومحتاجًا لبطانية، ويساند الأرملة التي تحتاج لمساعدة، وإذا قالوا إنهم يستغلون هذه الأشياء لكي أصوت لهم فأنا سأصوت لهم ولعشرين مثلهم، أليس مسئولية الحكومة التي نفتقدها هي رعاية الرعية ومساعدة الناس وخدمتهم، فالإخوان المسلمون والسلفيون قاموا بهذا الدور بشكل جيد جدًّا، فحلال عليهم مكسبهم.
أنا شمتان في الليبراليين لأنهم خسروا، حتى يتوقفوا عن الجعجعة ويحترموا رأي المواطن الذي أدلى بصوته واختار ذلك.
وأنا عمري ما طالبت بالديمقراطية رغم مولدي وحياتي في ألمانيا وقلت في المصري اليوم لقد قتل الفقر الديمقراطية فكيف تكون هناك ديمقراطية وهناك أشخاص متسلطون بأموالهم على قراراتي ويشترون قراري بالمال؟!.

الآن تساوى الناس في السلطة فاختاروا الإسلاميين فلتقبلوا بها وأنا عن نفسي لست متخوفًا من السلفيين أو الإخوان، فالإسلاميون أثق في علمهم وثقافتهم، فالغرب لن يتصادم معنا عندما نكون أقوياء بل سيتآخى معنا.

الأوربيون كانوا أكثر الشعوب تطرفًا وتطورهم التاريخي جعلهم يظهرون بمظهر الليبرالي والشعب المصري مسالم جدًا فنادرًا حتى ما يثور وهم يروننا متطرفين لكن أرى أننا لسنا متطرفين فهم اغتصبوا حضارتنا وأدخلوا عادات لا أقبلها، ونحن ليس لدينا العنصرية أو الأرستقراطية الأوروبية.

الحروب لا تقوم إلا لوجود شخص ضعيف، وعند وجود عدم الاتزان ينهار الاقتصاد والعلاقات وتقوم الحروب، ومنا أناس ومن الغرب عدوانيون وعندما نعطيهم الفرصة سينتهزونها، وقوة الدولة تجعل فرص الاعتداء عليها تقل؛ لأنها سترفع كلفة الاعتداء وسيكون العقاب وخيمًا؛ ولذلك لن يستحق الدخول فيه.

Il reproche à la célèbre revue Nature de l'avoir accusé dans l'un des articles publiés en 2008 de s'être servi de son poste de rédacteur en chef afin de publier de nombreux articles écrits de sa main sans qu'ils aient été appréciés et validés par ses pairs, comme l'explique le BMJ.

Il faut savoir que les revues scientifiques qui jouissent de la plus grande crédibilité sont, de nos jours, basées sur un système qui oblige les auteurs désireux de faire connaître le résultat de leurs travaux au sein d'une telle revue à soumettre leurs articles à son comité de lecture composé d'experts dans le domaine évoqué. Ce comité est censé relire ces articles avec un oeil critique, s'assurer que les recommandations aux auteurs propres à chaque revue ont bien été respectées, faire des remarques ou émettre des réserves sur la méthodologie employée pour obtenir les données présentées, apprécier la qualité et valider ou non l'ensemble de ce qui a été soumis. En procédant ainsi, une revue scientifique est censée diminuer les risques de faire paraître dans ses colonnes des travaux manquant de rigueur, d'objectivité, voire même des études falsifiées. Justice et liberté d'expression On November 11, 2011, opened a London libel raises, once again, the question of the credibility of some major scientific journals and of freedom of speech of those who work for greater transparency in scientific and medical fields. The complainant, Mohamed El Naschie, is an Egyptian engineer, mathematician and physicist, former chief editor of the journal Chaos, Solitons and Fractals of Elsevier. He blames the renowned journal Nature accused of having in one of the articles published in 2008 for having used his position as editor to publish many articles written by him without having been appreciated and validated by his peers, as explained in the BMJ .

Be aware that the scientific journals that enjoy greater credibility are, nowadays, based on a system that requires authors eager to know the result of their work in such a review to submit their articles to its reading committee composed of experts in the field mentioned. This committee is supposed to read these articles with a critical eye, ensure that the recommendations to the authors of each review have been met, make comments or express reservations about the methodology used to obtain the data presented, assessing the quality and choose whether or not all of what has been submitted. In this way, a scientific journal is supposed to reduce the risk of publishing in its columns the work lacks rigor, objectivity, or even falsified studies. A review has a peer is not enough to make her a reference publication, but published peer has no chance, at present, to become a reference.
It is based on the principle that, among other major medical journals or reference publications in law. In health, it is especially important to respect these rules as articles from these journals will then be used to influence health policy, allowing drugs to impose or surgical techniques to take their off.
Although not present his work before publication to criticism of his peers do nothing omen in its quality or its value, so does the credibility of the procedure to be respected, especially by those who are headed and who should lead by example.

According to them, the publications of this author were "poor" and proofreading was poor. It is based on the testimony that Nature has decided to publish an article about it.

Mr. El Naschie, after appealing to a law firm willing to be paid in case of victory, now provides his own defense. Although he initiated the process, he informed the court that he did not have the capacity to appear before it, especially since it would not stay in Britain occasionally. In the journal Nature, the author divided his time between indelicate Egypt, the United States, Germany, Switzerland and England and try to drag the case. A situation that is not conducive to Nature, according to the judge in charge of this case, because even if the journal is found innocent, it is unlikely to get the other party reimbursement of costs.

In England, as the BMJ, the high level of costs incurred to defend a libel suit and the outcome uncertain justice in such cases have led the government to consider a reform of procedures so that they are not used to interfere with freedom of expression and public health. A weapon that is not unique to English judging by cases such as the Australian doctor attacked by the manufacturer of a weight-loss product , that of the researcher who criticized the excess salt in food or in the case of Mediator and now Protelos .

Mrs. Justice Sharp's decision on the case is expected in January.

El Naschie hoodwinks Arab Thought Foundation

The great man has supplied the Arab Thought Foundation with false credentials, and thus been appointed one of four judges in the category of Scientific and Technical Creativity Awards. Also named as a judge is Dr. Saleh Al Athel, formerly President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Saudia Arabia. Dr. Al Athel is the co-author with El Naschie of a terrifying paper applying El Naschie's nonsense E-infinity theory to the design of nuclear reactors.

The Arabic version of the announcement calls El Naschie "أستاذ بالجامعات الألمانية والبريطانية" or "Professor of German and British universities" which is both vague and untrue in any interpretation. He has never been a professor at any British or German university.

The English version of the announcement is more specific and equally untrue. There he is said to be a professor at The British University in Egypt and The German University in Egypt.

El Naschie has never held any real academic appointment except an emeritus professorship at Alexandria University. He was foisted upon AU by Hend Hanafi, president of the university, much to the embarrassment of the Department of Physics. He may be the only person ever to have become an emeritus (retired) professor without having been an actual professor.

For years El Naschie falsely claimed affiliation with the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at Cambridge University.

His website calls him "Distinguished Fellow by the Association for the Advancement of Fundamental Scientific Research at the Institute of Physics of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany" which is true, but not an academic appointment. It's just a fancy title given to financial contributors.

El Naschie is a make-believe scientist.

This is the great man's first post-trial public appearance in Egypt.

العالم الفيزيائى الأمريكى الشهير إدوارد ويتن عدد مرات الرجوع إليه 97,156 مرة.. ومعامل h له يساوى 133... ولم يرشح لجائزة نوبل ولم يملأ الدنيا صياحا بإنجازاته. وعلاوة على ذلك العالم إدوارد ويتن يعتبر فيزيائيا مرموقا وحاصل على ميدالية فيلدس Fields Medal فى الرياضيات وهى مايعادل جائزة نوبل فى الفيزياء.

8- أن يعين الرجل أستاذا غير متفرغ فى عديد من الجامعات المصرية ويكون ذلك مقابل نشر أبحاث رديئة فى مجلته أهكذا يصل الحال بالجامعات فى أكبر دولة عربية مثل مصر. وفى الواقع أن هذه المجلة أصبحت الملاذ الأخير لمن لايستطيع أن ينشر فى مجلة علمية

9- أن يملأ الرجل وسائل الأعلام المصرى بهذا الشكل الفج ويصر بأنه أنجز أبحاثا تؤهله بجدارة لجائزة نوبل وأنه لاحرج عليه وأنه وضع أعضاء لجنة نوبل فى وضع محرج. حقا لقد وضع العرب كلهم فى وضع محرج. ومجموعة من الصحفيين الذين لم يكلفو أنفسهم عناء البحث عن سجل الرجل العلمي الوهمي .. يدبجون المقالات عن عظمته وإنجازاته.... أهكذا يصل مستوى الإعلام فى مصر أم أن هذه مقالات ومقابلات وحوارات مدفوعة الأجر مسبقا.

10- الدكتور النشائى مرشح دائم لجائزة نوبل حتى أن أحد الحاصلين عليها أقر انه لايستحقها وأنها ضلت طريقها بدلا من أن تعرف طريقها الصحيح إلى النشائى!!!!! لا ندرى من أين يعرف بمثل هذه الأخبار و أنه رشح لجائزة نوبل أم لا.

11- لماذا لاتتهافت الجامعات الكبرى مثل كمبيردج و كالتيك و أكسفورد و هارفارد ومعهد ماسيتوش للتقانة على د. النشائى وتنصبه أستاذا فيها بدلا من تغيير عنوانه من حين إلى أخر إلى إحدى الجامعات فى مصر. ولماذا لايذهب إلى المحافل العلمية الهامة عن نظرية الأوتار أو التماثل الفائق وإلى الجامعات المذكورة سابقا ويلقى أبحاثه ومحاضراته لماذا يليقيها فقط فى مصر و بعض الأماكن فى الوطن العربى.

12- د. النشائى يلمح ويصرح كثيرا عن نظرية المؤامرة وكيف أن الغرب يتجاهل أبحاثه ولايمنحه جائزة نوبل برغم أحقيته. ولعل العكس قد يكون صحيحا وأنه هو جزء من المؤامرة ويصمت الغرب عن مثل هؤلاء الأشخاص بل من الممكن أن يرعاهم ويسمح لهم بعمل مجلات فى مؤسسات نشر عريقة وذلك لإفساد المناخ العلمى فى دولة كبيرة مثل مصر ومنه ينتشر إلى باقى المنطقة. ولك أن تخيل
أن المجلة التي كرمته فى الصين تنشر فى دار نشر موجودة فى إسرائيل ويمكنكم الأطلاع على الموقع التالى.

13- لقد اندهشت عندما قرأت موقعا فى الأنترنت للعالم الكبير جبرارد توفت(Gerard 't Hooft) وهو حائز على جائزة نوبل فى الفيزياء عام 1999 وفى صفحته يتحدث عن كيف تصبح عالما فيزيائيا نظريا سيئا وإليكم الموقع

للأسف الصفحة باللغة الأنجليزية ولمن عنده الوقت الكافى ليته يقوم بترجمتها. وعند قراءة هذه الصفحة يتبين مدى التطابق الشديد بين معايير توفت للفيزيائى النظرى السييء ومايتصف به د. النشائى. وهذا التطابق الشديد يوحى كأن توفت يعرف النشائى ويصفه ولايسميه.

أليس فى مصر علماء فى الفيزياء يستطيعون الحكم وتقييم أعمال النشائى وإعطائه حقه أو إيقافه عند حده. إن الحكم على أعماله أمر ميسور فمجرد الأطلاع على عناوين أبحاثه وملخصاتها لتكتشف الحقيقة. فلكى تدرك ملوحة ماء البحر لايستدعى أن تشرب البحر كله ولكن يكفى تذوق قطرة واحدة. وأخيرا فى زمن الأنكسار والهزائم والإحباط تلتف الناس حول أى بطل حتى لو كان زائفا.
إن ما قيل هو من منطلق الغيرة على بلد عربى كبير مثل مصر معطاءة وولادة بالنجباء وستظل منارة للعالم العربى. لكن ينبغى التأكد من هذه المعلومات وأعطاء كل ذى حق حقه. وعلى الصحفيين والأعلاميين إذا تبينوا أنهم كانوا مخدوعين ولبسوا مأجورين أن يصححوا مواقفهم تجاه ذلك الرجل. إننا فى عصر أصبح من الممكن التأكد من أية معلومات عن طريق الأنترنت وأستخدام محركات البحث مثل Google وهذا أمر ميسور لقطاع كبير من الناس وخصوصا المشتغلين فى مجال الإعلام والعلم.

إن الهدف كما قلت مسبقا هو معرفة الحقيقة, ومن عنده كلام أودلة أخرى تناقض هذا فليأتى به وسنكون من السعداء إذا ثبت عكس

Ji-Huan He's cure for AIDS

Fatalness of Virus

As with his pontifications on sheep's wool and polar bear hair, Ji-Huan He has a bad habit of publishing not just one but two papers on any inane thought that pops into his head, and virology turns out to be no exception. Fatalness of Virus has been followed up by Effect of temperature on metabolic rates of virus and host cells, Current Opinion in Biotechnology, Volume 22, Supplement 1, September 2011, Pages S43-S44, European Biotechnology Congress 2011. This is one of those conference proceedings that will publish anything by the attendees because peer review is assumed to be the responsibility of the organizers.

Here's the abstract:

It appears that the more complex viruses (e.g., HIV and SARS coronavirus) the more it tends to be fatal. The question is “Why is it that way?”. We conclude in this report that the highly active metabolism of viruses is the key to answering this question. The increase in body temperature leads to the remarkable increase in the metabolic rate of the host cells. In turn, this leads to an unexpected threat to the virus colony where the host cells might become more metabolically active than the invading viruses. Either this will render the viruses harmless or they will be eliminated. The report also gives a hint to possible thermal therapy and physical exercise therapy [my emphasis] as well as an explanation as to why HIV rarely affects monkey.

Electrospinning is a method of using an electrostatic charge to draw viscous polymers into fibers that accumulate into a felt-like mat. Ji-Huan He's IF shenanigans noted

Shrink directs our attention to Measurement error by Richard Sear, concerning Impact Factor (IF). Sear tells an amusing anecdote I hadn't heard about the journal Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica trolling the company that does the IF. And he mentions Fractal Wool Man:

Possibly a bit more dubious is a journal called the International Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Numerical Simulation (IJNSNS). In 2008 this had the highest impact factor in its field at 8.9, according to a fun article that looked at this by Arnold and Fowler. They looked at where the citations came from that boosted this factor. First off, the guy who cited the journal more than anyone was the journal’s editor, Prof. Ji-Huan He. Hmm.

Also, a special issue of another journal referenced papers in this journal a whopping 294 times. The editor of that special issue was one Prof Ji-Huan He. Hmm again. Another special issue of a third journal cited the journal 206 times. I probably don’t need to tell you who was guest editor of that issue, as you have probably guessed.

Surrey is where Mohamed El Naschie lives, so it's too bad his name didn't make it into the blog post. He was a co-conspirator with Ji-Huan He, and he was also mentioned in the Arnold and Fowler article that Sear linked to.

Ji-Huan He's non-testimony

Why didn't E-infinity group member Ji-Huan He show up in Mrs. Sharp's court? As one of El Naschie's biggest sycophants he seems an obvious choice for the Great Man to use as a character witness.

My theory is that He is shell-shocked by the consequences of his association with El Naschie, and is quietly disassociating himself.

I think every reader (even a naive one) can notice the conflict between the two abstracts, in the first fibre wool has dimension 4.2325 (which is greater than the embedding space) and in the second it is 1.618. I hope El Naschie can explain these remarkable results.

It is about El Naschie suing Nature for libel because they made the factually correct statments that a) he published a lot of his own papers in his own journal, b) there was evidence of poor or no peer review and c) El Naschie’s affiliations were false and/or could not be verified. In one of his numerous fascinating articles which he dedicated to Gerardus tHooft and titled “On quarks confinement and asymptotic freedom”

The great man El naschie gave a new miraculous explanation for confinement. But unfortunately the great man doesn’t know enough physics, nor enough math, to get into sucha deep topic. The man has clearly a big confusion between the number of flavors and number of generations. According to him

page 1290 “…This term appear as 33 –2 f where f is the number of fermion-anti fermion loops considered….” where the great man meant the one loop beta function. In the same page one finds the expression of the one loop beta function b= 33- 2 N_f/12 Pi ” …. For a number of generation equal to that of the standard model,namely N_f =3 one .nds b =0.716197….”. But to the knowledge of El Naschie N_f should be interpreted as the number of flavors not the number of generations.

Maybe the great man can check this in any standard textbook on the subject

or the one he used which is the first reference listed at the end of his article.

Another extraordinary achievement of El Naschie is his freshman explanation for the confinement phenomenon. In page 1291, the great man gave us his magic explanation for confinement “… We cannot see quarks for the same reason that we cannot see real water at +300 degree centigrade or – 30 degree centigrade. In both cases we can see vapor or ice and we know it was water but we cannot see water……”

Let me ask the great man a technical question, if your approach is a non-perturbative and can cope only with the one loop expression of beta function. What about the other contributions to beta function namely two loop, three loop and four loop do you interpret them as Trans-infinite corrections. To your knowledge the four loop correction to beta function appeared in 1997, which means you can not find it in the old edition of your first reference

The astonishing thing is that El Naschie uses just very elementary math operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. On the top of all these, El Naschie explains low energy phenomena(relatively) using Planck scale language (let us not say physics!).

Now, let us ask the following interesting question: if the great man El naschie dedicates this article to Gerardus tHooft (Nobel prize laureate), then what has Gerardus tHoof dedicated to him? Although the question seems difficult, tHooft has made it easier for us. In his webpage tHooft gave an account of How to Become Bad theoretical

Physicists. (http://www.phys.uu.nl/~thooft/theoristbad.html).The content of this page was of course dedicated to every successful case. tHooft did not mention any name but El Naschie can easily recognize himself as a champion of this webpage.

In fact Neil Trouk should read about Elnaschie’s local and global coherence. How these coherence is intimately connected to the idea of negative dimension and VAK conjecture. This coherence could help in explaining the non-Guassinty deviation which has been observed negative binomial state. The same results recently popped up again in Helmoholtz institute experiment.

In fact the empty set could be assigned negative dimension, by empty set you can generate all integer numbers through a recursive power set construction. I think that El naschie has extended the notion of dimension to be even complex, not just a real. This has a plenty of applications in psychology and brain studies. This can be related to El naschie -Feynman hypothesis, that if you sum over all fluctuating spaces of complex dimension living inside an infinite nested Hilbert cubes you get results free of schizophrenia. And for free you will get gravity theory. This technique is very efficient in studying market, and becomes more transparent when you super-symmetrize the theory, i.e to deal with super market. Professor Mohamed El Naschie is suing the Nature journal for libel and says the claims in the article [read it here] are "despicable and defamatory".

The barrister representing Nature said the article, published in 2008, was true and in the public interest.

Judgment on the case will be reserved and is set to be announced in January.

In November 2008, Nature published an article which alleged that Prof El Naschie self-published many papers and that some did not seem to have been independently checked by scientists working in the same area - a process known as peer review.

The article also alleged that five of the 36 papers in the December edition of Prof El Naschie's publication - Chaos, Solitons and Fractals - were written by him and 60 self-penned articles had been published since the beginning of the year.

Prof El Naschie, who was representing himself, used his opening statement to tell the court that publishing in one's own journal was not something that was unheard of.

He said that he would discuss his papers with fellow scientists, and only when he thought that they were of a sufficiently high standard would he publish them.

"I am too arrogant and have too much self-respect to allow a bad paper to pass through," he said.

Prof El Naschie called one witness, Prof Otto Rossler - an honorary editor of Chaos, Solitons and Fractals.

He told the court that there was no-one who could peer review him, referring to Prof El Naschie, because "if you have something new to offer, peer review is dangerous", adding that in such cases "peer review delays progress in science".

Prof El-Naschie asked his witness whether he thought that his (Prof El Naschie) papers were of "poor quality".

Prof Rossler replied: "On the contrary, they were very important and will become more important in the future."

And he added: "You are [one of] the most hard-working and diligent scientists I have ever met."

Last week, Nature provided testimony from three of its expert witnesses that the procedures used by Prof El Naschie's journal for the selection of papers did not appear to follow the normal practice of peer review.

The case continues next week, and the judgment on the case will be reserved and is expected to be announced early in the New Year.

Why does Ghosh not mention that Rössler is the infamous crackpot best known for claiming the LHC will destroy the world, and for covering a university building with paranoid spray-painted graffiti about a pogrom against him? Inexcusable. Ghosh also did not mention in either of his articles that El Naschie is an Egyptian presidential candidate, or that he claims he deserves the Nobel Prize many times over, but did not win it because he's an Arab, a Muslim, and named Mohamed, and the decision is made not in Stockholm but in Tel Aviv, and the prize "lost its way" to him because of Israel and George W. Bush. Are these facts not necessary for fully understanding the story? Ghosh does his readers a disservice by not linking to El Naschie Watch.
